Of course there are people who like dressing up as cats and doing cat role-play stuff. Nobody denies that.

I just don't think it is fundamentally different from all the other silly role play and dress up that people do around the country in their spare time.

And I am pushing back on the notion that there are public schools anywhere in the country putting in litter boxes. That is some silly or malicious rumor started on facebook that has proven to be false everywhere it circulates. It is all nonsense.

And if you want to take this forum into a deep dive into sexual perversions and practices with that angle then I would suggest that the people who get off on furry costumes are a tiny microcosm of sexual obsessions in this country. There is every kind of sexual obsession imaginable and most of it involves ordinary straight sex. A lot of it involves dress up. Is that what you want to discuss here? Because the folks into furry sex are probably 1/10th of one percent of the total.

Personally I prefer not to think about what my neighbors are doing in the privacy of their own bedroom and what kinds of costumes they are wearing or what kind of things they are doing. That is their business not mine. Whether it involves sexy nurse costumes, leather and latex, dominatrix stuff, or furry cat costumes. But hey, if you want to have a long thread here about "furries" go for it and I'll see myself out.

I know you're really excited that some trolls pushed a hoax on legitimately concerned people to capitalize on their human concern for their children. That doesn't make you denial of the existence of furries any more grounded in reality.

Furries exist, and they believe in their delusion. You are being offensive to all sides with your delusional denial of their existence. On the one hand, they have a serious mental disorder and people like me are concerned for them, on the other hand they want to be taken seriously, and people on the left try to respect their wishes.

You have two options, you can either admit your error in waving away any concerns people have with the reality of what liberal ideology does to people, or you can continue to live in a fantasy land, where everything is fine, and furries are "just being silly".

Um sure, start a thread about furry suicides if you want. That is something I know nothing about. Suicide is a big problem in this country. My understanding is that demographic most likely to resort to suicide is combat vets with PTSD. How do the number of furry suicides compare to say...the number of LGBT kids who commit suicide after being rejected by their conservative parents or after being mercilessly bullied in school?

Easy there. Keep in mind that many of us *liberals* were once way more conservative than half this forum ever was. Not that it makes us better... just different. (in a way that's better )

Honestly I think from the few I know about, the cat identity is not a furry thing, its a different thing then that sexual perversion even though it can become that. Similarly, the trans is not necessarily a sexual pervert, there are a number of reasons someone identifies as trans and among women, sexual aspects are less important then other aspects. Now for men, the majority seem to have AGP unless they are pre-puberty with the majority post puberty connected with select viewing material.
