So they were effective?
If the goal was to end road work, and now they "aren't working"... sure sounds to me like the work has ended.

Not the same thing as a political protest in a democracy.
I agree - but what exactly are the differences?

One difference: who is King? Christians should not do this for Caesar. What other differences guide what Christians should or should not do? For instance, would it be appropriate to do something like this to stand for the vulnerable in the name of Jesus Christ our King?

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

Is there someone particular you had in mind?
"Let anyone who has ears listen."

This is not an accusation against any one person. It's a widespread problem.

Is it? I think you're assuming facts not entered into evidence.

The only thing Jesus did to 'organize' it was to send his disciples for the donkey and its foal. And, I would say that the people were following Jesus. Sure, he was most likely near the front, but in my thinking, to say that he was 'leading the crowd' suggests something a bit different in the context of this discussion here.

The crowd recognised him as the rightful leader and king.

Quite different from saying "organizing" in the Trotskyist sense of the word of trying to organise a labour revolt.
