that hasn't actually happened yet, its an extension of the current church because they are too big. They are aiming to move 30minutes west and plan to continue using the school. That being said, it could always change based on property they find.

I’ve always found it interesting to start up a new church building (used once or twice a week) but then keep using an existing school (used five times a week).

Here is a website that can give you some information. From what I know of the Meigs church and you, you would not enjoy it there.
https://www.pilgrimministry.org/congregations/map
To me, you are either saying something bad about Meigs or something bad about me or a difference in doctrine/practice. I'd like to know what rather then a vague statement and I'm fine with you private messaging it but I'm not very content hearing that especially since Meigs seems friendly and so far the only non-beachy church we've made contact with. (nothing wrong with Beachy other then children wearing caps)

Do the Wisler Mennonites have any churches in states other than Ohio and Indiana?

Clues from GAMEO point to Sauk Centre, MN and Snover, MI. I don't have direct knowledge of either, though, to confirm.

The Snover, Michigan and Sauk Centre, MN Wisler church listings are accurate. Also, there are two more in Michigan that I am aware of. One is in Prescott and the other near Alpena. Both the Snover and Sauk Centre churches have suffered minor splits over the last few years. The Snover splinter group retained a moderate Wisler mentality. The Sauk Centre splinter group went to a more local ministry thinking and veils instead of caps. End of report.

francis wrote:Is anybody familiar with the Disciples' Fellowship in Westfield Massachusetts? I've seen them before when I was in western MA and assumed they were the church from Russell, but they seem to be their own group. Their website lists John H Yoder's 1977 Confession of Faith which I've never seen on a church website before.
Here is their website: http://www.disciples-fellowship.org
Edit = me trying to format the URL
What you are seeing as John Yoder's confession of faith is actually the Schleitheim Confession, largely written by Michael Sattler. Yoder is the translator.

This does not appear on my database, and their placement of the Didache as an authoritative document tends to make me think these are an "Ancient Church" group, likely influenced by some of David Bercot's work.

Ernie can more accurately place them. I am taking my best guess based on experiences I have had. Personally I don't have much use, except historical, for second century writings. By that point, apostasy and false doctrine was rampant.

This was curious to me as I had read in Franklin Littel's "The Anabaptist View of the Church" that one of its foundational premises was restitutionalism. In other words, that the work of Jesus and the Apostles would be seen as the aim or standard (per Acts 3:20-21, etc.). Your view would be that the Apostles and others of Jesus disciples failed His calling and charge to them in John 15:16 if there were apostates among their fruits? Forgive me as I am not from Anabaptist background but am trying to understand the reasoning.

Welcome to Mennonet. Glad you chimed in! Don't be intimidated by those of us who share our thoughts very candidly on Mennonet. I for one will try to treat you and your questions respectfully.
I know the congregation described above quite well. Feel free to send me a private message if you want more information about this congregation.

At the following link I started a new thread on early church doctrines, concepts and practices.
