Are you including Rick Ashley in that statement?

I have no idea who he is, what he's up to, or what his agenda is. But I'm generally suspicious at this point of anyone who is complaining about CAM not making big cash payouts.

I have been extremely critical of CAM; my opinion is it should have been broken up into much smaller institutions and then money either returned to donors, or used to fund much smaller organisations, which can then have much more local accountability. That hasn't happened. But regardless, I don't think CAM's assets should be turned over to whatever huckster yells the loudest.

In my opinion, CAM should completely pull out of Haiti and stop being involved there. I have no idea what these agreements that allegedly were signed say, other than a handful, which as far as I know have been paid out. Certain people made promises/agreements who had no authority to do such. I don't see why CAM should honour those.

CAM has had significant change at the top, with a new board and a new director. Someone who is really serious about these things should seek to talk to the board and talk to the new director. Or they can just continue to make social media posts, complaining that some random person wasn't paid $10,000. I don't think the latter is helpful at all in rooting out a culture of abuse.

Diatribes that include poor grammar and an over use of exclamation points come across like scams!!!! ;)

I don't wish anything on anyone, but I've got to wonder if CAM is on any federal radars. You'd think someone would take notice to their operations?

From what I know of Rick he has a genuine desire to help people in Haiti and was acting on that desire long before Jeriah's crimes were made public in 2019. You have a Facebook account so I strongly encourage you to reach out to Rick and listen to his concerns about CAM and his desire to help Jeriah's victims.

Can you name a federal crime that's been committed?

Donors aren't complaining and the people involved have all long since been fired. The board has been turned over. The perpetrator is sitting in prison. Jeriah Mast misappropriated large amounts of money, but the federal government hasn't seen a need to charge him with a crime.

I know it's a bit difficult to understand Rick's writing sometimes. Rick has said before that he's not very good at written communication. It's not a scam though. He has reached out to CAM in person on more than one occasion and they do not appear to have been very helpful. In a comment on his latest post he said this:
This isn’t the platform I would like to address the issues but it seems the only method to get CAM’s attention.....I can do only so much and I personally feel as if these boys are being pressured to remain silent....but they are in dire need....what would Jesus do?

He may have good intentions, but I don't think he can accomplish much, with statements like these:
what really doesn’t make sense is that CAM’s new point guy in Haiti seems to be giving aid and food to the local gangs..
I don't exactly have a direct phone line to CAM, but the new leadership in CAM is very eager to listen. They aren't going to be eager to listen to someone who just comes demanding large amounts of money get paid out. But I think they'd be open to listening to allegations that someone is giving money to "local gangs" (although I highly doubt this is what is actually happening).

If Rick wants to get in touch with CAM leadership, and can't get ahold of them, tell him to get in touch with me, and I can try to broker a meeting.

I didn't say a crime was committed... but could they have attracted the attention of someone? That's what I am implying.
