Wade, :)
if you see this, would you post here from Romans 12 again about how to respond to conflict/enemies?
i thought it was “the best” for all these situations, not just the present.

evidently, it’s archived, altho i reposted it a few times.

i believe verse 20 describes offering drink and food to enemies .. :)
something Anabaptists are known for acting out IRL.

How surprising it always is to find God’s Way works.

Humans are such goofballs.
It’s a wonder God has any patience with us at all.

MC USA issued several statements that I'm sure nobody will bother reading (apparently they're so irrelevant, Ken couldn't even find them, and instead had to ask here).

Conservative Mennonites generally do not issue "statements" on current events.

Sure enough. Here is Glen Guyton, executive director of Mennonite Church USA:

Well, you asked at 3 PM, and apparently couldn't find this statement from a denomination you presumably know a bit about. That's why I said statements from denominations like this are basically irrelevant. Back when I went to an MC USA congregation, I don't think anyone ever bothered to read their various statements about political happenings here and there (usually overseas). I can't think of a single person who ever brought one up or talked about it. The most influence there might have been would be some dusty copies of The Mennonite lying on a table, and now that magazine doesn't even exist anymore.

They hid it in a blog post. I grew up in the church, but haven't attended one in over 20 years so it isn't part of my circle anymore.

That is quite a good statement. I hope folks don't just brush by it but take it as a serious Mennonite response.

Yeah, he violated parliamentary procedure ("polity" as the MCUSA folks like to call it) and we tabled him.

It was in the front page of MC USA’s website along with the front page of Anabaptist World (the replacement magazine for The Mennonite). I’m not sure how much easier it could be to find.

i had no idea.
i think of him as having a unique approach to this trying world, and, as a passionate dedicated husband and father.
