Bitterness can destroy a person from the inside out.
Cannot be overstated.

As Jesus divided, He was free of bitterness, offering Truth and salvation, Life!
He was hated, but He did not return hate for hate.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

I've often marveled (with dismay) at how people who have skated through life with (seemingly) everything, never struggled, never suffered a setback... yet are so bitter and angry and selfish.

Entitlement is real, we come to expect a lot. It's possible the constitutional right americans believe in the most is the entitlement to happiness, or the pursuit of it.

This is one reason a biblical worldview is so important. We desperately need to know our feelings are not the hinge point of the universe. I suspect this is far more important for the future than support for political parties and their strategies.

Soviet dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn, in a famous essay on living under a brutal, repressive regime wrote "live not by lies." The implication is that effective resistance is only possible once you have removed all traces of lies and deception from your own heart, otherwise you will inevitably become a part of the machinery of oppression, willingly or unwillingly.
