I think your point though is about an unfair application of avoidance of sin and I’ve certainly heard about vacation rentals running into issues with both d/r and homosexuality.
In Northern Lancaster County, there is Retreat and Outdoor Adventure Center that has all kinds of outdoor activities, a lodge and many vacation rental cabins. The owners are not Mennonite but very devout Christians. They have taken a strong stance against LGTB and unmarried couples renting their cabins or rooms in their lodge. Several years ago they were targeted with lots of hate from the LGTB community because they refused to rent to a lesbian couple.
I think I remember that. Refreshing Mountain or something like that.

You are correct, Refreshing Mountain Camp.

The entire working on Sunday thing has me conflicted. I can understand that we need medical professionals and emergency services to be there, but what about truck drivers that need to leave on a Sunday afternoon or evening to get to where they need to be?

I should think that agriculture would be a good a safe vocation for the Anabaptist Christian conscience.

Not to mention the very large percentage of conservative Anabaptists who willingly choose agricultural professions that require working on Sunday.

And in ordinary jobs for businesses and services that do stay open on Sundays there is the equity issue. Everyone likes their weekends. My wife is in the medical field and sometimes has to work on Sundays. I know she would have absolutely zero interest in doing more of it just to cover for co-workers who had a religious objection to working on Sunday. So there are cases where employers who grant a religious accommodation to those who don't want to work on Sunday end up forcing others to pick up the slack.

There are areas in Oregon where the wine and vineyard industry is so dominant, that it makes growing other crops uncompetitive. And even if you are an agricultural supplier, there may be some hesitancy in selling irrigation supplies and fertilizer supplies and services to the vineyards.
And in Montana growing malt barley for beer is huge.
We’ve always stayed away from this barley and vineyards and marijuana.
I suppose other areas would have tobacco.

Does the Bible even reference tobacco?

Tobacco is a New World crop that didn't make it back to the Old World until Columbus brought it back to Spain.

So no, obviously not.

I doubt the Bible mentions pot either. Which is probably a much more profitable agricultural crop in Oregon than tobacco.
