Bootstrap wrote:How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

"In ev'ry condition— in sickness, in health,
In poverty's vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home or abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

"Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God, I will still give thee aid;
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand.

"When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of sorrow shall not overflow,
For I will be with thee, thy trials to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

"When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie,
My grace all-sufficient shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

"The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I'll never, no never, no never forsake!"
This song was very precious when a loved one was going through fiery trials and deep waters. Now when she is on the other end, helping others through deep waters, this song still brings strong emotions.

I plan to bump this thread every Friday. We need this right now.

*************************

If I sing but don't have love
I waste my breath with every song
I bring an empty voice, a hollow noise
If I speak with a silver tongue
Convince a crowd but don't have love
I leave a bitter taste with every word I say

So let my life be the proof,
The proof of your love
Let my love look like You and what You're made of
How You lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love

If I give
To a needy soul but don't have love then who is poor?
It seems all the poverty is found in me

So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
Let my love look like You and what You're made of
How You lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
Oh, let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love

When it's all said and done
When we sing our final song
Only love remains
Only love remains

Let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
Let my love look like You and what You're made of
How You lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love

This is a CCM song by Third Day.

To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
When you said goodbye
And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus
Cry out to Jesus

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They've lost all of their faith in love
And they've done all they can to make it right again, still it's not enough
For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame
And your suffering

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus

When you're lonely
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus

To the widow who suffers from being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
And for the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus
Cry out to Jesus
Oh, cry out to Jesus
Cry out to Jesus

A Moment Of Grace

Lyrics

She was down on her knees
She would never get free
Her accusers had stones in their hands
And they turned to Jesus just to see what He’d say
But the Lord just wrote in the sand
They all walked away
But they heard Him say,
“Let the sin-free cast the first stone”
And with tears on her face
All her sins were erased
She stood in a moment of grace

Now the thief on the cross
Knew that his life was lost
He must pay for the crimes of his past
He had done nothing right
And he would sure lose this fight
His time was running out fast
In desperation he cried
To the Lord at his side
“Remember me when you reach Heaven’s gate”
And Jesus forgave
And all his sin was erased
And he died in a moment of grace

A moment of grace
Undeserved favor
Unspeakable joy
My soul found an anchor
Unmerited love and
Mercy that swept my soul away
He called my name
And everything changed in a moment of grace

See, I’ve been counted out
By the self-righteous crowd
Who would say that I’m not worthy to live
They say, “You’ve drifted too far, you’re so stuck in sin’s mire,
You need a miracle that only God can give”
Then Jesus passed by
And with this reply,
He said, “I choose you – just live for me today”
And Jesus forgave
And all my sin was erased
And I stood in my moment of grace
A moment of grace
Undeserved favor
Unspeakable joy
My soul found an anchor
It was unmerited love and
And mercy that swept my soul away
He called my name
And everything changed in a moment of grace
It was unmerited love
And His mercy that swept my soul away
He called my name
And everything changed in a moment of grace

Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I’m in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
To the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He’s holding out his hand

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again, “Boy, you’ll never win!”
“You’ll never win”

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says, “Do not be afraid!”
And the voice of truth says, “This is for My glory”
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a Sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they’d have had the strength to stand

But the giant’s calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again, “Boy, you’ll never win!”
“You’ll never win”

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says, “Do not be afraid!”
And the voice of truth says, “This is for My glory”
Out of all the voices calling out to me (Calling out to me)
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don’t seem so high
From on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says, “Do not be afraid!”
And the voice of truth says, “This is for My glory”
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
I will listen and believe
I will listen and believe the voice of truth
I will listen and believe
Because Jesus you are the voice of truth
And I will listen to you

From my sig line:

God only knows where to find you.
God only knows how to break through.
God only knows the real you.
There's a kind of love that God only knows.

1 Wo ist Jesus, mein Verlangen,
mein Geliebter und mein Freund?
Wo ist er denn hingegangen?
Wo mag er zu finden sein?
Meine Seel ist sehr betrübet,
mit viel Sünden abgematt't;
wo ist Jesus, den sie liebet?
Den bezehrt sie Tag und Nacht.

2 Ach! ich ruf vor Angst und Schmerzen:
Wo ist denn mein Jesus bin?
Kein Ruh ist in meinem Herzen
so lang, bis ich bei ihm bin.
Ach! wer giebt mir Taubenflügel,
daß ich kann zu jeder Frist
fliegen über Berg und Hügel,
suchen, wo mein Jesus ist?

3 Er vertreibet Angst und Schmerzen,
er vertreibet Sünd und Tod,
wenn sie quälen in dem Herzen;
er hilft Jedem aus der Noth!
Darum will ich nicht nachlassen,
will bald laufen hin und her;
auf den Feldern, auf den Straßen
will ich suchen mehr und mehr.

4 Liebster Jesu! laß dich finden,
meine Seele schreit in mir,
thu ihr mit den Augen winken,
laßΩ sie eilends sein bei dir!
Ach, laß mich die Gnad erlangen,
allerliebster Jesu mein,
und nimm meine Seel gefangen,
laß sie ewig bei dir sein.

5 Ach! ich sterb vor lauter Freuden,
ich find Jesum, meinen Schatz;
alle Weltlust will ich meiden,
bei ihm will ich finden Platz.
Nunmehr soll mich nichts betrüben,
was mich vor betrübet hat;
nichts als Jesum will ich lieben,
den mein Seel gefunden hat.

6 Liebster Jesu! meine Freude,
meiner Seelen schönste Zier!
Du bist meines Herzens Weide,
mich verlangt ja stets nach dir.
Mein Herz, Sinnen und Gedanken
sollen dir ergebeu sein;
laß mich nimmer von dir wanken,
du sollst ewig bleiben mein.

1 Cor 14:27-28 -'If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.'

Do we have one more of these and then an interpreter ? :lol:

I am not in church and I am sure there are interpreters around. The first line often comes to mind.

Google Translate:
1 Where is Jesus, my desire,
my lover and my friend?
Where did he go?
Where can he be found?
My soul is very sad,
embarrassed with a lot of sins;
where is Jesus whom she loves?
She spends it day and night.

2 Oh! I call for fear and pain:
Where is my Jesus?
No peace is in my heart
until I'm with him.
Oh! who gives me pigeon wings,
that I can at any time
fly over mountain and hills,
looking for where my Jesus is?

3 He dispels fear and pain,
he expels sin and death,
when they torment in the heart;
He helps everyone out of trouble!
That's why I do not want to let up,
I want to run back and forth soon;
in the fields, in the streets
I want to search more and more.

4 Dearest of Jesus! let me find you
my soul cries in me,
thu waving her eyes,
let them hurry with you!
Oh, let me get the grace,
dearest Jesus,
and take my soul,
let her be with you forever.

5 Oh! I'm dying for joy
I find Jesus, my darling;
I want to avoid all worldliness
I want to find a place with him.
Now nothing should sadden me,
what has saddened me before;
I want to love nothing but Jesus
my soul has found.

6 Dearest of Jesus! my joy,
my souls most beautiful ornament!
You are my heart's pasture,
I'm always asking for you.
My heart, senses and thoughts
should be clear to you;
do not let me falter,
you shall stay forever my.
