Mennonite Christian Fellowship Churches

Post by mike »

I happened to find a GAMEO article on the Mennonite Christian Fellowship churches, which my parents joined when I was ten years old after leaving the Amish. I had never seen a historical summary of the group and learned a few things about its origins. It was interesting to see them described as revivalist while at the same time being hard-line about worldliness and acculturation.

About eight years after we joined, the church we were part of (Christian Light Fellowship, which is mentioned in the article) joined the Charity movement after being disfellowshiped by the denomination for refusing to excommunicate members who left to join Charity Christian Fellowship.
