 Children are valued in our services. We have family seating, not segregated. We have rocking chairs in the back of the auditorium and a nursery with beds. Parents provide care and/or others help. One of the little things that endeared me to this congregation was the children's bare toes 8+ months of the year!

2) mid-week prayer meetings?
:pray One way or another, combined with Bible study, yes. Twice a month is small groups, memory night we all recite Bible passages we have learned, other nights are topics by a brother.

3) week-long revival meetings?

4) week-end renewal meetings?

:?: Special meetings are decided on each year. Lately the kind and when has depended on the availability of the guest speaker. Sometimes both 3&4, often in spring and fall.

5) designated greeters at the entrance?

7) designated ushers?

One designated person for 5 &7, who usually only steps in for visitors or crowds.

6) printed bulletin?

:D Yes, but it is new. I love it. It isn't all crowded up like a lot of churches'. The back is blank for sermon notes. When I have to be absent, one sister sends me a bulletin and notes.

8) men's only meetings to discuss church business?

Both men's only and everyone.

9) designated host for visitors?

 Yes.

10) a website?

No.

11) a "praise team"?

:laugh Only if all of us count.

12) lay-members that serve on committees/boards?
 Seriously, these are the committee-est people I ever met. There are designated persons for everything from Sugarcreek Budget Correspondent to Funeral Director to Trustees to many and various board reps.

1) no, but there is a nursery for young parents to go into if they need to

2) we do not have any kind of prayer meetings

3) yes, we have week-long (or 2 week long) revivals once a year (or more often if necessary)

4) we do not do weekend renewal meetings

5) we do not have designated greeters, but if you arrive early you will be greeted by somebody

6) no printed bulletins

7) we have designated ushers, but they usually aren't noticeable other than at a wedding or if the sanctuary is completely full

8) we don't have men's meetings for church business, the entire membership instead attends.

9) we don't have a designated host for visitors, but generally a minister or deacon will always invite an unexpected visitor over

10) we do not have a website

11) we have designated song leaders and the youth have a chorister

12) typically 1/4 to 1/3 of the (male) membership are on some kind of board or committee such as school board, book agent, and so on (with their wives, if they have them, serving alongside them)[/quote]
