I think that even if I wasn't politically engaged, I would know who was running for president, at least because my neighbors would let me know. When one of the neighbors puts up a giant TRUMP / JFK JR 2024 banner alongside the road, it's hard not to know.

My friends live in the country and when I drove through there and his route to work, there was no political signs. I saw a few on my drive to work but it was a major road and not a small country road.

Could be the area you live in. I live in a deeply conservative rural area where the Republican Party is a big deal. I often hear pro-Trump, anti-Biden comments from my students, which I assume is stuff they are hearing from their parents. I'll be happy to never have to hear "Let's Go Brandon" ever again.

That being said outside of the two major parties how many of the independent parties do you know of?

I just remembered the Tea Party, but I don't think they were ever an independent party, just a faction within the Republicans.

I just remembered the Tea Party, but I don't think they were ever an independent party, just a faction within the Republicans.

Tea party was an "astroturf" movement, not an actual political party. I think the name came from the Boston Tea Party rather than political party. So yes, you had Republicans politicians advertising their tea party bona fides. Just like you have Republican politicians advertising their MAGA bona fides today. But it wasn't a 3rd party.

Well I was meaning who was running, I could have phrased that better. I think the fact that they are irrelevant is disappointing but having looked into places with viable third parties or ranked based voting I don’t really see much difference.

We live in the country - most of it is favors Trump- and still see signs from last election or ones about election being stolen and then some signs that include out and out vulgar cuss words. See a few Biden signs but as I said this tends to be more Trump favorable. Can't get away from it and the election season has barely begun.
I just keep reminding myself- God changes the times and seasons and He sets up kings (rulers) and removes kings (rulers). It's in His hands. So I just pray that God's people- the church- will focus on Him not who is in charge.

I believe this is a case where a euphemism is being used as code for obscene language rather than obscene language itself.
