Future of MennoNet

Post by mike »

Hello, everyone. With Robert's passing, the moderators have been working to keep the forum going into the future. We are working with Robert's wife and daughter to transfer ownership of the domain and the forum administration with multiple admins for both to provide redundancy going forward.

Some of these changes should be happening soon. There may be periods of time when the forum is inaccessible while the domain and the web files are being transferred.

The outage the last few days had to do with a widespread PHP vulnerability that was a possible risk to users of the forum. Thanks for the heads up, MennoSimons1998. It appears to have been resolved through updates on the server side by the forum hosting company, so we reactivated the forum.

Site migration is waiting on a form to be submitted to the hosting company by Robert's daughter. That transition should be pretty seamless as it will remain with the same hosting company. Appreciate your patience.
