I don't think so, but it is the closest thing so far. I think we are very close to something, but there are still way too many loyal sheep being fed.

i can’t be surprised i’ve lagged behind, but, since Valerie began this topic, i’ve witnessed a lot of ramping up of division, in the world, and by Mennonites on this forum. My sense is, there is more drama about ICE than vast fraud, which is reversed in my view.

Governments are responsible for police and military, from ancient times. It’s a given.

Vast fraud alleged to be accomplished by low level criminals isn’t an everyday occurence.

Of course the guilty can’t be expected to voluntarily submit and repent. The question remains, how far will they go to protect their interests? (i consider Walz, Frey, Ellison, Omar to be low level, along with MANY others not in elected office, ALLEGED wrong doing.) None of these should have free access to the U.S. Treasury.

The fraud involved appears very serious. And shockingly elementary.

More than 50 people have pled guilty or been convicted. Investigations continue. That's what courts are for. I wish all fraud, at all levels, could be exposed in the same way, no matter who the guilty party is.

What does this have to do with ICE, though? Surely nobody is suggesting paramilitary raids are the right way to approach fraud?

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

How can you tell if someone is "ramping up division"?

Please give me a way to measure this for anyone, no matter what their political loyalties or preferences are, something that can be applied to all people and factions equally.

Questions we can apply, in the same way, to your posts or mine or anyone else's.

Primarily, for me, it’s volume, or numbers of posts, whether on or off forum, no matter source. (msm is now known for various sources repeating the same words/language, like an echo chamber.) The intent is to fan flames.

Next, for me, is emotion/drama invested. This varies by individual. Some deny they’re emotional, yet, it has a way of appearing, even in veiled ways. In msm, it’s so common, it largely goes unnoticed, it’s expected, goes unquestioned - is repeated as fact, even when it’s pure speculation or projection.

On this forum, volume of posts, topic activity, is a frequent marker for ramping up. i’m pretty sure. Hot topics.
Examples, the CAM horror, Ukraine, now ICE. Emotions. Things people take personally.

When the fraud seems to mostly involve (a) migrants and (b) politically associated people who push very hard for more migrants, ICE’s involvement seems appropriate.

When (a) and (b) resort to violence to evade lawful detention, then use of force is what comes next.
