Private citizen in Oregon breaks law by bringing gun to school.

Oregon law is clear: a private citizen shall not bring a gun onto school property, even for pickup/drop off of students (unless it's locked, unloaded, and out of reach). One dad, though, decided to break the law and brought his gun anyway.

Turns out he was able to stop a would-be mass shooter when he ran into the school (illegally, I might add, with his gun) and stopped the 16-year-old boy who had already killed 4 people.
I suspect he won't be prosecuted.

Or maybe he will be. I would be very concerned if Tina Kotek's thoughts were "with me".“To the community member who heroically intervened to stop further loss of life, your actions carry a heavy emotional burden and I just want you to know that my thoughts are with you,” Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek said.
