Venezuela 2025

There have been indications for days that the US is building up for some sort of major military action against Venezuela. Supposedly against land-based targets associated with drug trafficking. There are conflicting reports, and Trump is denying he has given the go-ahead yet. But it seems that the US would not have the number of assets near the country that it currently does for no reason.

For perspectve, NOT to minimize, there are many U.S. military bases.

How Many US Military Bases Are There in the World?
https://www.thesoldiersproject.org/how- ... the-world/
The United States is one of the top 5 countries with the largest and most equipped armed forces in the world.

So, it is not too much of a surprise that there are many U.S overseas military bases.
But, exactly how many U.S military bases are there in the world?
Today’s article on how many U.S military bases are there in the world will set out to explore the U.S military bases around the world. ..

There are roughly 750 US foreign military bases; they are spread across 80 nations!
After the U.S is the UK, but they only have 145 bases. Russia has about 3 dozen bases, and China just five.
This implies that the U.S has three times as many bases as all other countries combined. Quite astonishing if you ask us.

For your reference, our globe has a total of 195 countries.

It’s unsettling, in the least.

Going after the giant drug trade and cartels is rough business.

You don't do fly overs and move aircraft carriers just for looks... unfortunately, it looks like a "strategic" strike is about to happen. Make no mistake, this isn't about drugs if he hits a single military base.

It does seem overwrought for a drug strike.

Not a typical drug strike that we’re accustomed to, i.e., for show, deliberately ineffective. Everyone goes back to business as usual. Nothing changes.

The SA cartels run SA governments (they’re ‘way too influential in U.S. gov) - T isn’t inclined to “play footsie” like career politicians in my lifetime, costing lives, achieving nothing. Drugs flow, cash flows. People die.

So. i don’t know. For sure i don’t. i wonder.

Putin seems to relish .. himself.

My guess is, this is the equivalent of the cartels calling Russia, China, Iran, for military support. .

If the government is actively involved in drugs and smuggling, either declare war to fix the problem, use economic pressure to change the problem, but don’t break military engagement rules to attack civilians without demanding surrender/heave to for inspection. Don’t bomb sovereign nations without declarations of war.

These actions are no different then the other great (in terms of power) nations but they are a violation of the laws of our land, violation of military rules of engagement, and violation of a nation’s sovereignty for claimed casus belli which is a stretch.
And where is the coast guard? Why are they not the ones running this?

Drug runners use these boats, swap to fishing boats and smuggle it in. In international waters there are specific laws agreed on by most maritime powers that are supposed to be followed, we didn’t agree. Within another nations waters, we are outside our own ship, expected to respect the nation’s laws in regards to their water ways.
The coast guard can stop any vessel in our waters without cause for inspection. A ship failing to respond can be shot.

Unflagged vessels are claimed to be under our jurisdiction, okay fine. What is the route laid out? 1: Call for heave to for inspection.
2: warning shot
3: disabling shot and armed boarders
4: lethal shots which hasn’t happened against smuggling since perhaps we used sailing ships.

Beyond that, there is zero public proof that these boats are carrying drugs, and especially that they are carrying fentanyl. The Trump Administration says they could have captured at least one of these boats, but chose to kill the people instead to "send a signal". We don't normally murder people to send signals. One of the boats had survivors, who would normally have gone to court, but they were sent to other countries instead - perhaps to avoid hearing the evidence in American courts?

These boats are not how fentanyl gets into the United States.

Killing people without legal justification is called murder. Killing people without anything like a trial when they pose no immediate threat?
