I know they're handy, but not for that!

September House, 1251 W. King St. York, January 18. Pass. Food facility does not have available Chlorine sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration of dishwasher. Chlorine chemical sanitizer residual detected in the final sanitizer rinse cycle of the low temperature sanitizing dishwasher was 0 ppm, and not 50-100 ppm as required. Facility will use three-compartment sink until dishwasher is fixed. Interior of soda BIB cabinet with syrup spillage on the base of the cabinet and in need of cleaning. Ceiling in the kitchen area above the oven has peeling dry wall/plaster and water spot in the corner by hood and in need of repair. Bags of brown sugar observed stored in an old kitty litter bucket. Corrected.

Yeah that is a new one. We've had deer parts in Chinese restaurant coolers. But brown sugar in a kitty litter bucket is a possible new low. To be clear, the brown sugar was in bags inside that bucket, but still. I was going to guess Chinese restaurant on this one, but turns out it is a senior center.

In our area, I almost never see a family-owned pizza shop get dinged on an inspection. The Chinese places are always taking a hit.
