Homosexuals chant: “We’re coming for your children”

From NBC News:

The “coming for your children” chant has been used for years at Pride events, according to longtime march attendees and gay rights activists, who said it’s one of many provocative expressions used to regain control of slurs against LGBTQ people. And in this case, they said, right-wing activists are jumping on a single video to weaponize an out-of-context remark to further stigmatize the queer community.
According to multiple Drag March regulars, the “coming for your children” variation has been used before. Last year, Gothamist reported, people at the Drag March chanted, “Ten percent is not enough: Groom! Groom! Groom!”
The homosexuals, transsexuals, and liberals claim this is being taken “out of context”:
Over the weekend, a short video circulated widely on social media of an unidentified person at a New York City march during Pride festivities saying, “We’re coming for your children.”

In the 21-second clip, circulated by a right-wing web streamer channel, dozens of people march in the streets and are clearly heard chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re not going shopping.” But one voice that is louder than the crowd — it’s not clear whose, or whether the speaker was a member of the LGBTQ community — is heard saying at least twice, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children.”
I think that children should have absolutely nothing to do with LGBT movements, Pride marches, or homosexuals. We can see the intent of homosexuals: they plan to groom, they plan to recruit children, and then push them into a gay lifestyle.

We have already seen that in California they are passing a bill to take children away from any parents who refuse to affirm LGBT and turn them over to homosexual “safe houses”.

I don't know if they are being taken out of context. The actual context is that activists on both sides like to say outrageous things.

Are all the Christian leaders who are calling for gay people to be executed being taken out of context? Or are American Christians actually calling for SS Einsatzgruppen death squads to roam America executing gay people? Because that is part of the context too.

It is a terrible thing to say...and there are those within, and supporters of, "gay rights" who were upset that this articulation was made. It's at best deliberately incendiary and confrontational, and at worst, publicly proclaiming a desire to groom kids.

Yes, people on both sides should dial back the intentionally confrontational and transgressive language. It isn't helpful or useful.

As for "grooming kids?" That already happens 24/7 in America. Everywhere they turn kids encounter sexualized messaging today. Probably 99% of it is heterosexual. We don't just let kids be kids anymore.

There's even worse chants, chanting that God is a lesbian, that 10% is not enough, & i can't even post the rated x things. Talk about provoking God,! And whatever happened to indecent exposure being something you could get in trouble for?

This is insanely SICK 3675 and the fact that they want to bring more children into it is got Satan's name written all over it of course he wants to destroy soul. He knows his time is short!!

From the article in the OP:
The “coming for your children” chant has been used for years at Pride events, according to longtime march attendees and gay rights activists, who said it’s one of many provocative expressions used to regain control of slurs against LGBTQ people. And in this case, they said, right-wing activists are jumping on a single video to weaponize an out-of-context remark to further stigmatize the queer community.

Conservative politicians and pundits have increasingly referred to advocates for LGBTQ rights as “groomers,” associating people who oppose laws that restrict drag performances or classroom discussions of gender identity with pedophiles. The charge is an echo of a decades-old trope anti-gay activists have used to paint the community as a threat to the country’s youths, an allegation that some advocates say endangers LGBTQ people. And the intense reaction to the video has scared some attendees, who insist the quip has been taken out of context.

“It’s really scary to us,” said Fussy Lo Mein, a drag performer and activist who was at this year’s march and declined to give their real name because of safety concerns. “It doesn’t represent everybody — it represents that individual. I thought it was a dumb idea, and I started chanting on top of it with alternate verses.”
If queers really wanted to “groom” and “recruit” children, wouldn’t it be strange for them to publicly announce it like some sort of mustache-twirling monologuing James Bond villain?

It is easy enough to measure.

Walk through your average mall and measure how much of the sexualization of children you see in clothing stores is heterosexual or homosexual
Or watch say the Disney Channel and measure how much sexualized messaging in shows aimed at pre-teens is heterosexual or homosexual
Or measure how much sexualized content teens and pre-teens see on social media is heterosexual or homosexual

We actually have an epidemic of depression among teenage girls in this country. It is a phenomenon with complex causes. But much of it is the result of unrealistically sexualized messaging on social media and sexualized abuse and harassment online and in real life that is 100% heterosexual. We live in a world in which Instagram "influencers" make millions of dollars promoting expensive makeup and beauty products to teens and pre-teens. Talk to any teen girl and you will find they run a daily gauntlet of leers, harassment, and judgment about their sexuality from both boys and adults. That outfit or hair style is not feminine enough. That one is too provocative. It is constant and they can't win. What is that if not heterosexual "grooming"? It isn't lesbians trying to convert girls to the "dark side".

And as for the media environment that boys grow up in today? How much of that is focused on converting them to be gay? Boys are probably less on sites like Instagram and more on video games and sports. Spend some time in the video game world and tell us how much of it is hyper-masculinity and violence versus how much of it is gay.

Maybe there is some big gay grooming conspiracy out there that goes beyond some flamboyant activists shouting intentionally provocative slogans in pride marches. I don't see it but I will allow it could exist. We do have freedom of speech in this country so it wouldn't be illegal. But looks to me like they have a very long way to go before they even make the slightest dent in the world that our teens actually grow up in.

Ken, those things are bad too.
Bad things don’t justify other bad things but it is clear that many do just that.

It’s not bad to affirm normal gender behavior but it is bad to affirm sexual behavior in children for either traditional or non-traditional.

Ken, those things are all also bad (and are things conservative Mennonites work carefully to shield their children from, although they are not always successful and sometimes are a bit naïve).

But that’s not really the topic at hand.
