A Better Way has two upcoming child abuse prevention seminars. One will be in Lamar, PA, and the other in Mesopotamia, OH. The one in Lamar, PA is a two day event and I believe that one is being offered for free. The one in Mesopotamia, OH is one day and has a ticket price of $70. A Better Way usually charges for their seminars but it's my understanding that the people who asked them to hold a seminar in central PA wanted that particular one to be free.
If you have any questions about these events you can send a message to A Better Way through their website or call the number provided on their website. If you're on Facebook you can also check out A Better Way's page there.

A Better Way is a good organization and they know what they are talking about. I have a lot of respect for Hope.

We've interacted on social media a time or two and she appears genuine in her cause.

I first became aware of A Better Way and Hope through a friend that runs a non-profit advocacy group for sexual abuse survivors. So, for me, she's been vouched for :)

I've never met Hope Anne in person but I've interacted with her online quite a few times over the past couple of years and I think she's good people. She's very sincere and passionate about helping victims of sexual abuse. One thing I admire about her is her responses to some people's comments online. Some people can make jaw-droppingly ignorant and hurtful comments about abuse and abuse victims but she always seems to respond to them graciously and respectfully.

People can do that in real life, too!

True. Though there's something about being behind a keyboard that seems to make people lose some of their inhibitions.

If anyone on this forum is in contact with folks whose foundations have been rocked by the Stanley Champ sentencing, I am willing to be a supportive presence for them in any way possible. Feel free to PM me. Thank you.

I haven't heard about this particular situation. Is a life sentence usual for this type of crime?

Used to be the death penalty, but a few years ago the Supreme Court decided that was “cruel and unusual”. (Didn’t seem to care how cruel and unusual what was done to the little kids was…)
