Honk your show support!

I just passed two groups of people on the same street, about 4 blocks apart.
One has flags and honk to support first responders.
One has Black Lives Matters signs and banners.
What would you do?

I tend not to honk for anyone. I get annoyed at that sort of participatory symbolism. I didn't put a yellow ribbon around my tree during the Iraq war either when that was a big thing.
Although when the volunteer firemen come by my car with the boot I do put some cash in it if I have any handy. Something I've seen them do in Guatemala and Chile as well as the US.

Protesters from Philadelphia were in our small rural town the other day, and one of my employees happened to drive through the square. One of the protesters walked by each of the vehicles with a sign asking them to honk in support. When my employee failed to honk, he was told to "F*** off."
Sadly, the protester did not realize that the truck's horn was not functional at the time, or he may likely not have been so impolite.

I wouldn't honk. I hardly honk when it matters because I forget I have one

5. Make a bumper sticker that says "Honk if you love Jesus" and drive through the area again. Wait about 10 seconds after the traffic light turns green.

The first focuses on helping others while the latter focuses on injustice. I certainly don't honk for magnifying injustice.

My youngest got a Blue flag decal to go on the back window of our vehicle. I have not put it on yet, but I am seriously considering it. I think right now is a time that we need to show support and respect to first responders and law enforcement.
Ont he flip side, there is no way I will show support to a marxist organization that wants to burn down our system and society. Anyone who does needs to take some time to investigate this organization and consider the message we as followers of Jesus are projecting.

I completely agree with this! In fact, I just got blue flag decals for on our vehicles. I also think stopping by your local police station and dropping off some baked goods, and letting them know you appreciate and support them, would be an excellent thing to do right now.

With regard to the blue flag - I’m a bit perplexed about the need for police to have their own flag. I thought they served under the American flag.
I’m also thinking that if the stars were happened to align just a little to the left, you Republicans and Republican leaning folks who don’t vote, would be saying how disrespectful it is to change the flag, etc.
Kneeling for the anthem is said to be disrespectful, but changing the flag isn’t.
But carry on. Just a thought I have on the blue line flag and polarization.
