And how to get his piece of the action.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

he seems the least attached to money of any billionaire in view. he has it, it doesn’t seem to have him.
maybe due to his extra-freaky brain.

i liked the idea when obama, early in his first term, described how ending Medicare fraud could pay for ACA,
i like Trump’s suggestions about finding a POSSIBLY competent person to do a general cleanup.
i’m convinced INCOMPETENCY in gov is run of the mill.

btw, obama did no such thing with Medicare fraud, no one questions him.

both trump and musk were Dems long before Republicans, they aren’t political “purists” of any description.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

Well, considering that he's running the site formerly known as Twitter into the ground, that might be true. It's lost 66%- 75% of its value in the two years since he bought it, which is quite the accomplishment.

But that doesn't change the fact that through Space X and Tesla, Musk has received billions of dollars of federal grants and contracts. For Musk to "audit" the government presents a clear conflict of interest and once upon a time, that was a significant issue to disqualify him. Musk auditing the government seems like a recipe for corruption.

I don't understand the idolization of billionaires.

I will have an issue if this is not done very transparently.

i find no connection between the question (i’ve used frequently for decades) and any description idol worship.

i don’t care for - default to presumption of evil in others.

It is still an issue that would disqualify him were he to take any actual role in the Federal government. He would have to step down from his CEO position of those companies to take any kind of Federal position. He would also have to step down from any position on the boards of any of those companies as well as X.

Not evil. Just a lot of fawning. ;)

Having an interest in, tolerance for, questions about, is not fawning. Even appreciation for a comical aspect is not fawning.
All those things have happened in this topic - regularly, if not immediately, met with accusations of negative motivations of all involved. Like clockwork.

i’d prefer that not continue. not expecting a shift.

Well, in that case, I would appreciate an end to the long tirades about how horrible and evil liberals are.

o. changed.
i thought this was about this topic, various members’ interest in E Musk being misconstrued as idol worship or fawning.
i’m not interested in a general bunny trail. maybe another day.
