That’s a fair question. How would or do you respond when a person insists you must observe __________ (fill one the blank) practice if you are sincere about your Christian walk?Heirbyadoption wrote:I have a question for the ardent mask NON-wearers among us. How do you respond, all jokes aside, to the rather common statement that wearing a mask is part of loving your neighbor as a Christian, and to not do so is (logically) unloving?
Around a month ago I visited a small church fellowship with a mild interest in possibly joining. The leader there informed me that since they live in a cold climate geographically if I have any interest in joining their church group, I will agree to wear a regulation plain suit coat, and furthermore, I should be doing so anyway. He went on to pronounce if I continue to not wear said coat, he believes that in the future I will end up divorcing my wife and taking up arms. Point is, I believe whenever an individual freely allows others to dictate anything in order to measure up to another person’s standard of what they think Christianity is, they are on a slippery slope. I unapologetically adhere fundamentally to the Scriptures as my guide for life.
