It is currently at about $110. He specifically says the high valuation in the past was in the expectation of rapid sales growth, but actual new orders last quarter were only 250,000, which means the only reason Tesla had positive growth in 2022 was their backlog of orders. Apparently a lot of Teslas are also leased rather than bought. Which bodes for large numbers of used Teslas flooding the market soon.

I have been a Tesla sceptic for years so it doesn’t take much to convince me, but he makes a great argument. When the current Prius finally reaches the end of its productive life I will almost certainly replace it with an EV. Just probably not a Tesla.
I think he got his decimal point at the wrong place.

They’re still at it.
Thankfully, Elon Musk appears to be a healthy 53 years young, and still willing to call (propagandists) out.

“I literally just googled trump rally and was blasted with Kamala and a ton of negative trump articles,
none of which is what I looked up“

For myself, i now see unwanted harris youtube ads, esp asking for donations, everytime i view - conservative content.
Even content specifically noting her sketchy history.

So this is going to be fun...

Back in November, Musk told advertisers to do an expletive to themselves after they began leaving due to concerns about content on X --
https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-x ... interview/
Elon Musk says that advertisers fleeing X after his endorsement of an antisemitic post could “kill” the platform formerly known as Twitter. And he has a simple message for those companies, which include Disney, Apple, and IBM: “Go **** yourself.”

Musk, speaking Wednesday night at the New York Times’ DealBook Summit, said that advertisers with concerns about his conduct should stop spending on the platform, which has historically been dependent on ad revenue. “Don’t advertise,” Musk said in response to a question about X’s recent problems. “If someone is going to try and blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go **** yourself. Go *** yourself. Is that clear?
Musk is now suing advertisers for not advertising on X.

i don’t subscribe to X, i wasn’t sure how i’d listen/view, i found this.
i don’t usually tune into things, i typically run bhind real time, if at all.

i believe i’m about halfway .. i’m viewng with my young youtube friends, the CartierFamily:

i’m enjoying Elon’s relaxed, low-tone conversational approach, he explains his goal to converse, not to be adversarial.

Without third party reaction:

Aug 12 2024 / President Trump's Interview with Elon Musk on X / 2hrs 6min

i enjoy Elon Musk’s speech patterns, tone of voice.
He almost has a slight stutter (?) .. a certain awkwardness, not from lack of content. It causes me to want to listen more carefully.

A number of media pundits rely so strongly on an adversarial approach, he consistently tries to avoid the bait.

i appreciate his initial stated goal to make this discussion a conversation.

I did learn from the interview that Musk thinks nuclear war isn't as scary as people think and that Trump doesn't understand how the oceans work because he apparently thinks sea level rise will create more shoreline property not less.
ELON MUSK: It’s like, you know, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed, but now they’re like full cities again. So it’s really not something that, you know, it’s not as scary as people think, basically. But let’s see.
and
DONALD TRUMP: You know, the biggest threat is not global warming, where the ocean is going to rise one one eighth of an inch over the next 400 years. The big and you’ll have more — you’ll have more oceanfront property. Right?
Genius level analysis there.
