Why is “Ukrainian sovereignty” so important?
1) You need to ask the Ukrainian people about that...or most folks in most countries of the world for that matter. In general, I think people choose some measure of self-determination for themselves and their families (like you were arguing a few weeks ago on behalf of the truckers).
Was it important when the West staged a colour revolution?
2) You assume a lot when you claim the Ukrainian revolution was staged comrad Джошуа...no doubt the West was an encourager in the Orange revolution, but the Ukrainian people were the ones on the street who drove the movement.
Why wasn’t “Iraqi sovereignty” important?
3) Who are you talking to here...you are arguing with no one on this forum that I know of.
Should a kingdom Christian be focused on “Ukrainian sovereignty”, particularly to the point of advocating in favour of killing?
2) First, you need to ask the Ukrainian people that...or most folks in most countries of the world for that matter. Second, I ask again, who are you talking to here that is a "Kingdom Christian" "advocating in favor of killing."

But I wouldn't support the truckers taking up arms and shooting the RCMP. Would you?

Then why is the U.S. calling for "regime change" in Russia now? America has a notorious history of interfering in other country's elections and calling for "regime change". Most people (who aren't Western aligned) agree Ukraine was the same story during the Orange Revolution.

Because I think peace is more important than winning a military conflict at any cost. That means simply agreeing not to join NATO, remaining neutral, and giving up the fantasy of getting Crimea back. That's all Ukraine's leadership has to do to achieve peace.

Do you think it's better for the war to keep on going? This is a war Ukraine cannot win. Simply isn't going to happen. The right thing to do is surrender.

If I were Russian, and living in Russia, I'd be talking about the right and wrong things for Russia to do. But we aren't. We need to talk about what is right and wrong for America to do and the West to do. And the right thing to do is to stop this unwinnable conflict.

Ukraine is not America. Ukraine is not Russia. You refuse to acknowledge the existence of Ukraine as a country with its own values and culture and language and right to exist. Why is that?

Clearly, you do not live in Ukraine. You might see this differently if you did.

Surely peace is more important than invading Ukraine and laying waste to the country, cutting off supplies from the cities, and bombarding residential areas, schools, and hospitals. Maybe Russia should not have invaded. Maybe they should withdraw. Maybe they should avoid hits on civilian targets. But you don't seem to be mentioning that. Why is that?

I don't even know what "winning" means in this war. For either side.

But suppose Ukraine surrenders. And gives up any hope of being able to defend itself from Russia in future wars as a condition of surrender. What happens next? Did effectively giving up Crimea save Ukraine from the current war? Does Russia pick up the next war from the newly established boundaries from this one? Does Ukraine ever gain the right to exist and make its own decisions? What country comes next?

Again, I have no idea how to advise the kingdoms of this world here. But I'm pretty sure I don't have a simple answer like you do.

Ukraine has been part of Russia for nearly all of its history.

I'm asking why people like you feel like "Ukrainian sovereignty" is so important, yet the sovereignty of other countries with far higher death tolls from Western invasions doesn't seem to be very relevant. Think Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine. Why don't these get the same attention? Or anything even close to it?
You do not live in Ukraine
If I did I'd probably be fleeing to Poland like everyone else, since Ukraine has mandatory military service for all males age 18-60 and has made it illegal not to serve in the armed forces. All the Mennonite converts I know there have had to escape the country to deal with this.
Again, I have no idea how to advise the kingdoms of this world here. But I'm pretty sure I don't have a simple answer like you do.
The simple answer is to quit going to war, quit fighting, and quit killing. If one side in a conflict won't do this, it behooves the other side to do so - particularly when there is zero chance they can win. When it comes to military conflicts, "might makes right" is indeed how things work.

More concerningly I see a sharp uptick in anti-Russian hatred. Hatred is always a bad thing, but hatred of a well armed country and people is even more of a bad thing. I am particularly concerned about the warmongering I see in the right wing with the calls from Republicans and from evangelical Christians for a "no fly zone" (i.e. shooting down Russian planes), for an invasion, and for shipping millions - or billions - of dollars of weapons to Ukraine.

The best outcome would be a negotiated peace. That's going to involve a lot of surrendering on the Ukrainian side. Sorry, Boot, but that's just how these kind of things work. If you don't like that, pause and think that at least Russia hasn't demanded to kill Zelensky; that would be different than how the U.S. has treated countries its invaded for no reason without provocation.

Why aren't you calling for the U.S. to give up its right to exist and give back its land to the indigenous peoples, Britain, France, Mexico, and Russia?

If the U.K. launched an invasion (or Mexico) and it was obvious the U.S. was going to lose the fight, I would definitely support surrendering. Particularly if they were going to conscript every man age 18-60 to fight to the death.

How can the West withdraw and save face?
How can "the West" withdraw if they haven't invaded? :?

That would be .. withdraw billions, maybe a trillion or more, in support of fighting to (Ukraine) deaths, withdraw telltale “messages” from Billie Jean King, end gov and corporate sanctions intended to kill Russia, end media cheerleading for war on the Ukraine homeland, those kinds of things.

Admit this isn’t about Ukraine.
It’s East versus West, the West decided Ukraine was a good enough place to fight it. Evidently, from international response, the world agrees. Rah rah. The people of Ukraine are the sorry losers.

If Ukraine’s leaders can hold their own with talks, they may yet survive in some fashion.

i’m not sure, but does Russia have a better rebuilding history than the U.S.? The U.S. blows places sky-high, then retreats from the resulting mess. Is this correct? (honest question, i’m not sure.) i’m still rattled from W’s big promises to Iraq. and, the fact that Vietnam seems ok, even tho, back in the day, politicians assured us, Vietnam would NOT be ok without U.S. domination, nor would the world. (Really, quite a lot like what is being said today about Ukraine.)

Vietnam, war/not a war?
Called the “American War” in Vietnam (or, in full, the “War Against the Americans to Save the Nation”), the war was also part of a larger regional conflict (see Indochina wars) and a manifestation of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union and their respective allies.

i admit, i’m respectful but not trusting of U.S. leaders nor U.S. mainstream press. thus, not anxious to jump on their bandwagons.
just trying to figure out what real people on the ground, not in control of policies, might make of the big noise.
the big noise is fomenting war. that’s when real people bleed, on the ground.

recalling biden’s seedy history in Ukraine (as VPOTUS) reminds of how self-serving career politicians are.
biden is in his 10th year in the White House? (they said Nixon was tricky.)

To be consistent, the U.S. should advise, open borders, offer generous benefits to illegal aliens, open doors for them to vote in elections, etc. Don’t fret about documents or other pesky requirements demanded of silly law-abiding legal citizens.
Fight? No. Give it away, do not fight, no arms necessary. Put down arms, then just walk in. It confuses everyone.
