Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

It wouldn't be hard at all - Turkey did the same thing with Armenia. The harsh reality is that the strong rule over the weak.

It would be in the best interests of Palestinians and Gazans to make peace with their much stronger neighbor instead of trying to wage war with them. If they continue to pursue war, they will eventually lose. Unfortunately, since Israel's founding, their neighbors have repeatedly picked fights, most of which resulted in losing and ceding territory to Israel. A few countries, like Jordan, pursued peace. They also accepted millions of Palestinian refugees, and they don't want anymore.
and for me it's incredible see people who says we must turn the other cheek supporting this kind of diabolic plan
As a Christian we must turn the cheek to anyone who wrongs us. We can certainly hold political opinions about what some government should do, or what is in their own best interests to do, but when it gets personal, we must not retaliated or think we can also wage war.
Well if a genocide like the arminian genocide happens again in the 21st century i really lose my faith in humanity

And yes i condemn the invasion of israel by siria in 1967 and the hamas terrorist attack of 2023

Hamas admits 72% of deaths are combat-aged men as it quietly reduces civilian death toll - report
Approximately 72% of fatalities are aged 13-55 and are men - the demographic category aligns with Hamas combatants.

Hamas quietly removed the names of thousands of Palestinians it had previously alleged were killed during the Israel-Hamas war, Salo Aizenberg, from the US-based non-profit organisation Honest Reporting told The Telegraph on Tuesday after analyzing Hamas’s March 2025 casualty update.

Hamas has previously claimed that 70% of casualties have been women and children, a claim no longer reflected in their recently updated lists, according to the research. Approximately 72% of fatalities between the ages of 13-55 are men - the demographic category aligns with Hamas combatants.

“Hamas’s new March 2025 fatality list quietly drops 3,400 fully ‘identified’ deaths listed in its August and October 2024 reports – including 1,080 children. These ‘deaths’ never happened. The numbers were falsified – again,” Aizenberg asserted.

It's possible both of those are true, but they are not the same thing. JP could use better editors.

Aizenberg may well be right about this - I don't think we can trust the numbers from Hamas or from Israel's IDF. In wartime, it's hard to have really accurate statistics on casualties, and you can't trust statistics from either side. As far as I can tell, Aizenberg does not claim to have accurate numbers, he does have valid critiques of some of the numbers that are out there.

But it's easy to see that a whole lot of apartment buildings have been destroyed and a whole lot of civilians have been killed. Israel is killing with weapons that cannot distinguish civilians from militants. Gaza has been destroyed. Humanitarian agencies on the ground are saying a LOT of civilians have been killed. There are a whole lot more civilians than militants in Gaza. If you randomly kill a lot of people, a lot of them are going to be civilians.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

Over the weekend, a person set fire to our governor's mansion here in PA, while the governor and his family were inside, due to "his views on the Israel-Gaza war and believed Shapiro needed to stop the killing of Palestinians."

Nobody was hurt, although the Molotov cocktails did a bunch of damage to the inside of the residence.
