Earlier this month, however, just a few days before Finland passed a law granting its adult citizens the right to have their self-defined gender recognized in government documents, Dr. Kaltiala gave an interview with Helsingin Sanomat, Finland’s liberal newspaper of record. Her comments were a sobering reminder of just how out of step the American medical establishment is with its European counterparts when it comes to treating minors who reject their sex.

It’s of utmost importance to recognize error and be willing to step back, rather than double-down.
It’s a sign of emotional intelligence and emotional maturity. The U.S. is a young experiment, with unknown future.

The article is again available. This is the quote i was after above:
“The notion that no human should ever have to experience any discomfort associated with male or female embodiment,
including during the turbulent period of puberty, is the utopian promise fueling much of the gender transition industry.”
It should not require a university degree to grasp. [Basic Parenting 101]

The question about gender back in the 60's. Hollywood got it right.

Little girl asks her mother, "When I was born did I get to choose if I was a boy or a girl?".

Mother replies, "Nobody gets to choose".

About 6 minutes into the video.

‘Mature Enough’: Undercover Video Reveals Docs Routinely Approve Puberty Blockers for Kids as Young as Eight
https://www.yahoo.com/news/mature-enoug ... 20909.html
“We do have patients who are starting as young as eight, nine,” a social worker at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Texas explained to one Veritas reporter who went undercover as a parent exploring transition services for his ten-year-old child. “We have a list of gender affirming therapists that we can provide.”

The social worker goes on to explain that, in some cases, puberty blockers are prescribed to young children after just one consultation with a doctor.

“In regards to prescribing [puberty blockers], that’s up to the prescriber’s discretion. And they might just require a couple of appointments just to see,” the social worker adds. “It might be appropriate after one. It’s not something that we want to gate-keep.”

In another clip, Prisha Mosley, a woman who transitioned as a teen only to de-transition in later life, tells the outlet that she was pressured into undergoing transgender surgeries and hormone treatment without a proper understanding of the impact of the procedures.

“They said it was transition or suicide. Like I was given no choice. I was told you will kill yourself if you don’t go through with these treatments,” she says.

At one point in the video, an unnamed Project Veritas journalist asks a family medicine specialist at St. Mark’s Institute for Mental Health in New York City whether surgeries could be conducted on “a 10-year-old.”

“They could, yeah!” the medical doctor responds. “I’ve never done a 10-year-old, to be quite fair with you. I’ve done 15, 16 [year-olds].”

I'm a high school teacher.
We've been screaming about this for years and everyone just told us we were imagining things or passed us off with "OK Boomer."

From increased rates of depression, lack of focus, falling grades, and now every other kid claiming they're trans - social media is a cancer that is destroying youth.
Consider higher suicide rates, lower marriage rates, lower birth rates.
Prayers for children, teens, young adults, and their families.

There’s no valid excuse for the level of HOPELESSNESS - appearing in a comparatively comfortable society.
Nothing aside from self-inflicted misery. Why?? Comfortable, but, secular. That might be a clue.

As a Fox report, it will be dismissed and disputed, already in process.

Assembly approves bills to ban transgender athletes from competing in girls' and women's sports
https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/pol ... 706566002/
.. "Winning is always more fun — but let's not lose sight of what athletics are about," said Democratic Rep. Mark Spreitzer of Beloit. "Most young people play sports because they enjoy the game, they enjoy being part of a team. They enjoy themselves and they enjoy competition. And these bills would deny those opportunities to transgender youth." ..
^^Suddenly, competitive sports isn’t about winning. The joy of losing - that is, for biological females.

Problems with what part of it? Sounds like this person broke the rules and should or will be investigated for sexual harassment. And that the district responded incorrectly. Trans adults shouldn’t be walking into girls showers and surprising people. If it was some boy who had done that it would not have been on the news. They would have just dealt with it. Sexual harassment is actually a huge problem in schools. But I would guess that over 99% of it is from ordinary boys not trans kids. We shouldn’t tolerate any of it. Not from trans people and not the “boys will be boys” stuff either.

I’m also not in favor of trans athletes performing in competitive women’s sports. Never have been. Recreational non-competitive sports is a different issue. I don’t really have an issue with that. Co-ed recreational sports are common anyway. Most or all sports have very clear distinctions between competitive leagues and recreational leagues and very different rules for competition.

I’m not some big pro-trans rights advocate. I just don’t think it is the business of the government to intervene in the private medical decisions of people and interfere with parental rights to decide what is best for their kids. Whether they are transgender or anything else.
