No actually there isn't legitimate data from Alberta showing lots of vaccine related injuries between the first and second shots. You have a habit of coming here and asserting all sorts of things that simply are not true. the study you are referring to was garbage and was retracted months ago because it was riddled with errors: https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/covid-19 ... -1.6188806

Parse the data any way you want. Omicron vs Delta. Partially vaccinated vs fully vaccinated vs boosted. Or parse it by age. It doesn't matter. The results are the same. Getting vaccinated substantially reduces your risk of contracting Covid, being hospitalized for Covid, and dying of Covid. And the results are essentially the same for every state and country.

Ken wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:26 am Here are the infection numbers for NYC which got the first omicron wave in the US. These aren't broken out by booster status. But the data I have seen shows protection against infection for the regular 2-dose regimen that increases with a recent booster. So vaccination is good, booster is better. The press seems to think that everyone is getting Omicron, but that isn't really the case. It is still hitting the unvaccinated much more severely. And the hospitalization and death numbers are even more stark.

And no, I don't recall any negative effect in Denmark and have no idea what you are talking about. We did a deep dive into Denmark a couple of days ago. What are you referring to? Denmark showed increasing infections like everywhere else on the planet getting an Omicron wave, but 10-fold lower serious hospitalizations and 4-fold lower deaths than equivalent places like Wisconsin that have lower vaccination rates. So the vaccines seem to be holding up quite well in Denmark just like everywhere else.

This doesn't show omicron, or booster status. As I've said, there are lots of statistically fraudulent ways to show vaccine efficacy. I simply don't believe the vaccinated / unvaccinated numbers that the US is publishing. They don't line up with the rest of the world.
The Omicron wave started in NY on about 12/9 when the numbers on this graph started to go upwards. If you want to do a very deep dive into NYC Covid data it is all on the NYC Health Department Covid portal where this is from. More graphs and data than you could possibly want. Google is your friend.

I wasn't referring to the data from Alberta in your article. I was referring to the data from Alberta about all-cause deaths after vaccination.

No, it doesn't. Data has not been published on partially vaccinated or "fully vaccinated" vs. also boosted populations.

If the data being gathered on adverse events is not reliable, what is being done to accurately track deaths and adverse events?

From my perspective "they" (mostly the media and public scientists) have done nothing but say its not accurate while providing no solution. The US based reporting system allows for criminal prosecution of false case reporting as well, if its broke, fix it, if its not broke accept the data.

There are an infinite number of ways that one can parse this sort of data. The NYC and NY State health department portals have an immense amount of data available. And many jurisdictions do report out vaccinated, unvaccinated and partially vaccinated separately. As well as the effects of boosters. They do that here in Washington. The information is out there if you want to look for it.

Is this what Covid success looks like? Denmark is lifting all Covid-related restrictions because, due to their high vaccination rate, they have essentially decoupled Covid infections from the severe consequences of the disease. Denmark is at 81% of the total population fully vaccinated vs 64% for the US.

...plus, everyone knows that there was this Amish guy in Shipshewana who rode in a buggy 14 times with COVID-infected people and never got it, but instead he got sick from a vaccinated Goshen nurse who drove by in a convertible, shedding all over town. So...this data is essentially garbage.

I don't disagree with their approach, but to say that vaccination has decoupled cases from severe disease is just not true. hospitalizations are close to an all-time high in Denmark. I think Denmark might have figured out that vaccinations are helping them out of this "pandemic", nor did their lockdowns work, so they are left with no choice but to return to normal, and hope they achieve herd immunity without their hospital system buckling. I think they're do fine. They're a pretty healthy country.
