US Attacks Iran 2026
Re: US Attacks Iran 2026
Interesting how those with lots of opinions on the topic apparently don't know anything about how Selective Service is currently treating things with COs. I guess it's more fun to lob out political opinions (or condemn other people and act self-righteous compared to them) than actual take real, concrete steps to ensure one can be a conscientious objector.

It’s interesting how people who have never filed CO paperwork dismiss others opinions.JohnH wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:22 am Interesting how those with lots of opinions on the topic apparently don't know anything about how Selective Service is currently treating things with COs. That’s all it is though, opinions as nothing current is assured of being future.
Ultimately though you either are a CO regardless of the consequences or you aren’t.

One of the more troubling things I see here is "you need to support political party X or political view Y, or otherwise you won't be able to be a CO".Soloist wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:27 amIt’s interesting how people who have never filed CO paperwork dismiss others opinions.JohnH wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:22 am Interesting how those with lots of opinions on the topic apparently don't know anything about how Selective Service is currently treating things with COs. That's, well, not how it works.

I seem to recall quite recently you got asked for evidence and didn’t produce any. How about now?

One of the more reassuring things I see on MN is "you can't support political party X or political view Y, otherwise you won't be able to be a CO."

Well, that's not the case either. The U.S. government's perspective on being a CO is not that one holds some kind of conservative Anabaptist view on political involvement.ohio jones wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:40 amOne of the more reassuring things I see on MN is "you can't support political party X or political view Y, otherwise you won't be able to be a CO."

Meanwhile... here's the imagery the Iranian regime is promoting:

So we see exactly how they think. Particularly a stereotypical antisemitic depiction of a rat, and the antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jews somehow "control" America.

We shall see. I stand by my prediction, but it is just a guess.Valerie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:14 amBut not in the Korean War & Viet Nam, so I hope you’re not worried about nothing.
Let’s not promote ourselves as the persecuted church just yet. I’m sorry your people had to suffer in the past. It all comes down it seems to interpretation, but I don’t think there’s a draft until Jesus has His own army.

So Iran posts meme propaganda and you post it here rather then providing proof of your statement
Feel free to support your claim.

Especially now between the Reconstructionist elements like Doug Wilson and the leadership of the military. That is reflected in their prayers.barnhart wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:04 amAnd the American civil war. I have ancestors who sat in Confederate prison, condemned by their Presbyterian and Methodist neighbors for refusing the draft. There was an alarming amount of exchange between the army leadership and church leadership.
