And, for whatever one's opinion of Qatar, UAE et al is, life would be much better for Gazans with the sort of development seen in Doha and Sharja than what they've been living under so far.

Oddly enough, Israel has less legitimacy at the end of this. Iran has less legitimacy. But it may be a good thing if various bellicose nations have far less respect on the international stage.
In what ways does Israel have less legitimacy at the end of this conflict?

i don’t expect to recognize or understand anything about Hamas’ reasoning or motivations or actions.
Before, during, or following their attack. Before, during, or following Phase 1 of the proposed ceasefire.

They’ve become a pariah on the global stage and lost a major amount of ground. To give you an idea, about ⅔rds of American Jews polled recently said they think the state of Israel has committed war crimes.

I’d be curious to see that poll.

About 60% saying war crimes and about 40% saying genocide.

My view: It’s hasty to count on anything just yet.

Ben Shapiro is a conservative Orthodox Jew (not Anabaptist).
He mostly likes Trump, esp now wrt the ceasefire progress.
He didn’t always like Trump, he frequently “has advice” for Trump.

THE PEACE PRESIDENT: Trump Brokers Israel-Hamas HOSTAGE RELEASE, Ceasefire / 0-45min about Israel
“President Trump mobilizes the entire region to achieve the release of 20 Israeli hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza;
Hasan Piker comes under scrutiny after appearing to shock his dog for the crime of moving from her on-camera spot;
and Zohran Mamdani signs into chat on October 7 to massage Hamas.”
Ep.2294

Reports have been, from early-on, Israelis have not been “of one mind” wrt military action in Gaza.
(i believe) many Jews in the U.S. vote Democrat. i have no idea why.
Ben Shapiro is a renowned conservative political pundit, syndicated columnist, lawyer, and NYT bestselling author. He is Editor Emeritus of news and opinion site The Daily Wire and host of the popular video podcast, The Ben Shapiro Show.

t1,

Ben Shapiro is, to put to mildly, not an objective point of view on political goings-on in Israel.

He has a distinct pov i prefer to recognize, to help with context. He votes and influences people. He’s part of the whole.

Watching people celebrating in both Israel & Gaza, hopes and joy are extremely high, soldiers so happy and thanking President Trump, citizens in Israel & Gaza thanking President Trump, leaders around the world praising President Trump.
I’m admittedly nervous. I don’t trust Hamas at all. Hostages are due to be released Monday, I’m sure their families are VERY nervous and prayerful. I heard last night President Trump has remained in contact with these families of the hostages since this happened two years ago. Does he ever sleep? Do others accomplish a fraction of what he does for others?
I really hope that the world is in unity in prayer for this to actually happen. The way the 20 point plan that President Trump developed is supposed to take place step-by-step.

Although the world is claiming their thrill for a possible piece of the Middle East, when I read my Bible and prophecy I just don’t see that is something that we can count on for any length of time.

9-11-2001 was THE MESSAGE there are people in the world who live by unthinkable standards and motivations, thus, unpredictable.
They are human, in need of prayers for salvation, but, unpredictable.

The Christian way is to live and negotiate in good faith, esp with moral equivalency faith that all parties, at their core, want peace on earth. 9-11 demonstrated, no. Not all value peace, even their own safety and well being. There are different value systems that might be recognized and accepted as reality, even when they can’t be understood.

So. continuing prayers for mutually accepted resolution. continuing prayers for converted hearts. domestic+foreign.
