Ken, I'm curious if will you be taking your soon-to-be government mandated twice-per-day COVID pill?

Again I ask, where will you draw the line?
I'm not sure what kind of web site you are pointing to there, it's got weird pop-ups and malware on it.

But yes, Pfizer is developing and testing a 2x a day Covid antiviral therapy as is Mercx, Shionogi (Japanese pharma giant) and others. They are testing a twice daily 5-day treatment regimen. It would just join remdesivir, monoclonal antibodies, hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, and a bunch of others as THERAPIES to treat people who already have Covid. Dozens of pharmaceutical companies are spending billions trying to develop anti-viral therapies for Covid. This is the least surprising development in the world frankly. What else would they be doing. Do you think this is a bad thing?

What the article you cited does is deliberately take the statement by Pfizer out of context. What Pfizer actually said was that a combination of both vaccines and therapeutics are necessary to fight the pandemic. Not that individual people need to take both of them at the same time, or that their Covid anti-viral therapy needs to be combined with the vaccines to be effective.

This is exactly the same thing that every scientist and public health official around the world is also saying. Namely, that there is no one single magic bullet that will defeat this disease. In order to beat Covid we need both PREVENTIONS (vaccines, distancing, masking etc.) AND CURES (therapeutics to treat the disease).

So yes, if I end up catching Covid despite having been vaccinated, and it turns out to be a serious case and not the normal mild case that most vaccinated people get, then I will happily and willingly take whatever therapy my doctors think is currently the best and most effective treatment for my circumstances. If that is a Pfizer-branded anti-viral pill then fine. If it is remdesivir or monoclonal antibodies, then fine. If it is ivermectin, then fine. If it is Merck's new anti-viral therapy, then fine. If it is something even newer that we don't know about yet then fine.

I'm not sure why you think there is something scandalous or untoward about the fact that Pfizer is also developing an anti-viral therapy in addition to their vaccines. They are a big pharmaceutical company with tremendous expertise in anti-virals. What else would they do? This is not even anything new. Pfizer announced phase-1 trials back in March: https://www.pfizer.com/news/press-relea ... -antiviral
The question this all raises in my mind is why there wasn't a greater emphasis on developing Covid therapies from the beginning rather than such a push for a vaccine (Operation Warp Speed)? It seems now that it's becoming evident that the vaccines lose their efficacy pretty quickly there is more of an openness to finding therapies that work. I began to notice this a few weeks ago when I heard Dr Fauci pushing early treatment with monoclonal antibodies. I suspect he already knew what was happening with the vaccines and realized a different approach needed to be taken. Our local hospital is now pushing monoclonal antibodies pretty strongly.

Who says there wasn't?

I think honestly this has been the biggest combined scientific effort in the history of healthcare in terms of developing BOTH preventions and cures.

But therapies or cures really don't do anything to end the pandemic or prevent the spread of the virus. That is what vaccines are for. You have to attack it at both ends not just one end.

Are you suggesting there has been as much emphasis on therapies as vaccines since the pandemic began? Why are we just now hearing about the Pfizer pills? At least I hadn't heard about it before yesterday.

But vaccines haven't been very successful in ending the pandemic have they? And now the WHO is already talking about another variant to keep an eye on, the MU variant.

If there would have been more focus initially on therapies to get people safely through Covid, I wonder how much further ahead we would be in terms of herd immunity as a result of natural antibodies.

And those monoclonal antibodies are derived directly from stem cells.

And worst of all, mass production of them requires fresh tissue.

It seems my brother in law died from neglect and malpractice, not Covid. Autopsy will be done this week.

How did you find out? This is so upsetting and I keep hearing about cover being blamed when there is so many other reasons people have died

Seems he was not given an IV and the Oxygen level was so high it damaged his lungs. This is second hand so not sure the exact issues, but more will come out with the autopsy.

Smaller hospital and they were overloaded with Covid patients.

That is terribly sad.
You have indicated your belief that treatment & therapeutics could prevent hospitalizations. Now look. The hospitals vet overwhelmed when "at home" treatments are not given. You get the symptoms you get the test you're told you have covid with no further instructions but to go home and stay home.

Dr. peter McCullough went before the Senate regarding the fact that there are treatments that will save people's lives and keep them out of the hospital that could be done at home. Dr. Vladimir Zelenko new of treatments in March 2020 as he contacted other countries. Hydroxychloroquine and zinc was a treatment he used and has successfully treated over 6,000 people and kept them from hospitalization. He has trained other doctors. Then there's America's Frontline doctors who seeing what was going on banded together and set up a way to help people when you contact them to get the right treatments.

Yet 3 weeks ago when my best friend got covid, her doctor told her there was no treatment! I had to inform her of what I have learned and where she could turn to get help.

Yesterday I talked to an Amish builder in Holmes County that we met with a couple of months ago. I believe he's approaching 70, as he's owned his business for 42 years. He didn't sound well, so I said "Mr Yoder are you okay you don't sound yourself?" He explained to me he was just getting over Covid. He shared his whole experience with me from how he believed he got it when he traveled out west to not realize he was covid to then finding out it was covid to them knowing where to go to get treatment. He went to a location that gave him what he needed to get through his covid at home he was able to stay out of the hospital even though he had been very sick and in a high risk group. He told me he still is against the vaccine, how God was so close to him through the covid experience that he had no fear.

As I said from the beginning they have tried to stifle and discredit and censor any doctor who wanted to treat covid patients because this was all about getting to the vaccine. This goes way back- there are pieces to this evil puzzle that many are labeling conspiracy theories because that's been a very convenient label to keep people from the truth.
