Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

Probably because nothing is flying in Iran right now without the permission of Israel or the US.

But PR staff might at least limit the lies that are too obvious. My dad was a government PR guy; his job was to make sure that what his agency put out was truthful--of course, in support of the agency's mission, but truth is deemed more effective. If the PR folks are chosen by their lying superiors, there may be less of this restraint, but still the knowledge that obvious lies hurt the cause.

In a democracy, people vote for 1 President (and Vice President), not some unaccountable committee.

If you want decision making to flow through more than one person, the proper mechanism for that is something like a legislative body.
This is nonsense.

A democracy and an autocracy are not the same thing. We did not vote for a king or an emperor - you keep implying that we did. And even a wise king seeks counsel and takes the time to get basic things right.

The word "president" means "someone who presides over ..." and what they preside over matters.
You seem to imply that he makes decisions on his own and that is far from true. He has advisors and I hear a lot of them interviewed (or watch their interviews), For obvious reasons they are not going to share classified information with the general public. I hear even people lately in other countries say they trust & support his decisions but I assure from what I can tell he has a strong team helping inform & guide him.
When Iran shot a misfile Friday that traveled 2,500 miles, it opened eyes in other countries even more to the capabilities of Iran already reaching further than we even thought. At that point it seemed to quit the doubters.

Shoot, I have misfiled things and traveled farther than that with them, fortunately with no serious geopolitical consequences.

I feel better about the excursions of OJ than other excursions active today.

It's a noble calling for sure, is OJ's.

I just got back from a truck run where I came across a just-crashed semi that spilled a load of Bud Light across east and west-bound lanes of the highway earlier this morning. I had a deadline to meet or else I could have pulled over to "help," like a lot of other vehicles were doing. I believe Steve in Kville likely came through the spot at some point after the accident, maybe he'll chime in here with a confession.

OK, back to the war.

I can imagine quite a few partisans refusing to pick up some free Buds in that region.
