Who speaks for the black community?

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

The heart of Christ led him to dramatic protests, the Messianic march on Jerusalem and the disruption of temple commerce. "Wake up!"
I think the donkeys owner protested more than Jesus did.
At the conclusion of the messianic march, which proclaimed that Jesus (and therefore not Ceasar) was the rightful king, Jesus entered the temple.
Then Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying in the temple courts, and turned over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. And he said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are turning it into a den of robbers!”
That sounds like protest language to me.
Protest? That was the Creator of the universe rebuking sin in His temple.

And the significance with that understanding plus that now we are the temple of the Holy Ghost... Shows how much Christ wants sin out of our hearts.

i must view Robert’s recent video above. too tired at the moment.

i’ve shared this video before, but, came across it again. i think it’s from 2015, 5 years ago.
it’s amazing how relevant it is today! over years, i’ve viewed it a number of times.
it strikes me as deeply heartfelt. the men speaking seem very “real” to me.

They speak for part of the black community. They have valid questions.

And does not the Creator of the universe give us his Spirit that he may speak through us?

Here is some very wise words from one who may be considered unwise because of age. I find him to be very wise. The has a song a the end I found fun to listen to, but it may not be for everyone. I think his words are. He uses one word that is often considered foul language, but it is used in a context that I could deal with. The rest of what he says is so insightful it was easy for me to ignore that part.

Thank you Robert. Young men like this give me an immense amount of optimism. There are a lot of people that get it. they really do.

It’s hard to keep perspective: media features the oddities and exceptions, not the mainstream.
and, peace is NOT a goal of the for profit “news” industry.

Leo Terrell is a strong voice for civil rights. I have listened to him for years. I always agreed with much of his core points, but disagreed with steps from those core points. I am totally shocked at his stance now, but respect him for his honesty. He has always been passionate in all he speaks on. This is not surprising to me. I find his points he is passionate about quite ... surprising. I agree this is Terrell 2.0. He has spoken for the black community for years. Why should we not listen now? Ignore Hannity in this clip. He says little. Listen to Leo.

i’m new to Leo T. this year, i don’t follow Don Lemons, or Hannity, Larry Elder is more familiar.
there’s another guy not named, who is speaking, but his voice is muted. David J. Harris Jr.??
i’m new this year to DJH Jr., too. i’m trying to find more from him. i’m not sure it’s him, but wondering. he would want his name included! :P

important points in this clip.

This news article came up today, and I thought it might be of interest to others here, as it was to me, especially because I've heard this pastor (Cory Brooks) speak on a Moody Radio program where he was being interviewed, either Chris Fabery or Chris Brooks, or it could be that both have had him on their programs at different times.
