When i began this topic, i had no idea how extensive the problem of cheering and/or funding VIOLENT felony crime had become, was becoming.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination exposed it beyond question. Ambush+execute murder.
The alleged murderer will receive due process.

Thanks.

I checked it out and wrote this comment:
Jim wrote:Violence is a problem of some on the left and some on the right. Currently, many on the right are condoning or even applauding the violence of ICE, up to and including murder. Some on the left are saying "fight fire with fire." Let's don't support violence by the people who are more like us politically any more than we do the violence of those we disagree with.

He still has a right to a fair trial, but I don't think there's any reasonable person who can look at the facts (which are well established by now) and not conclude that Mangione premeditated to kill Thompson, planned it out, and then took steps to murder him. That's first degree murder. Does anyone really dispute that?

The state has an obligation to give him a fair trial. What is disturbing is anyone else that thinks they should contribute money to his defense. It is, in effect, an endorsement of what he did.
The right to an attorney is enshrined in the Constitution. Everyone deserves the best advocate that money can buy, to counter the overwhelming resources of the state, which has far deeper pockets. If he is really guilty, he will be found so at trial. Someone should ensure that he gets a fair trial, with an impartial jury. Some, with great political power, have pronounced him guilty already.

Tell me, where would you be without an advocate to plead your case?

"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: "

You are guilty. You have an advocate. Let him have one as well.

I don't think someone who is actually guilty of murdering someone "deserves" to have $200,000 spent on an attorney for them to find a way for them to somehow weasel their way out of getting convicted.
If he is really guilty, he will be found so at trial.
I mean, it's pretty obvious he is. Does anyone really dispute that he murdered the guy?

If I murdered someone, I would not be crowdfunding $200,000 and lying by entering a plea of not guilty. I would accept the guilt and punishment for it.
You are guilty. You have an advocate. Let him have one as well.
I think it would be great if Mr. Mangione accepted Jesus to absolve his bloodguiltiness which would otherwise condemn him in the age to come, but that has nothing to do with earthly responsibility.

Overall, it's not a positive sign for society at all to have people praising and lauding and fundraising for someone not because they think they aren't guilty, but because they are celebrating the fact he murdered someone that they don't like.

But that's only for a serious crime like murder, right? When you violate the speed limit you mail in a guilty plea with a payment for the fine?

Doesn’t everybody?

If someone didn’t actually murder someone (or commit a traffic violation), that’s different.

So do I.

But we see this all the time when the criminals are government agents.

I'm thinking about recent killings and how many Christians voted for a felon.

It is very sad.

Please use the word, “alleged” evenly. As should (irresponsible) msm.

Case after case proves rushing to judgment is destructive and often mistaken.
i believe it horrifically contributes to cheering+funding violent felony crime.
It stokes division and hate.

Recognize, msm does not seek peace. Not profitable for the “news” INDUSTRY.
