1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

There’s something intrinsic that bothers me about wartime support in countries like this.
If people went to Russia to do the same thing, what would the perspective be?

I do think that this is a prime opportunity to witness, but it does present a rather complicated connection to back support of front lines. It’s very similar to being a Corpsman serving in a military conflict which is a side which I don’t know quite the answer to.

I understand that tension. One approach is to offer help when it is needed. When Russian cities are shelled, invaded and occupied it would be fitting to extend help there as well.

The org that folks in our church supports was in Ukraine since 2011, before the war started, doing such things as helping farmers with agricultural work (grain drying, hay making, etc.) and helping people to get started with raising animals. Their website states, "We are still assisting farmers but we have shifted our focus to help with humanitarian projects because of the war in Ukraine."

thats interesting, I hope you don't take my comment as judgement in any way. Its something I've thought about but I'm not about to say its wrong or not for someone to do so.

Not at all, I get what you're saying, and I think it's a potential issue that mission organizations could face.

Some of the saddest situations reported are when folks/families escape bad circumstances to find better, safer places.
Sometimes moving from one city or state to another, sometimes a different country, only to be violently killed in the new location.

ABC / Ukrainian woman stabbed to death in unprovoked attack while riding train in North Carolina: Police
Iryna Zarutska, 23, sustained knife wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
https://abcnews.go.com/US/ukrainian-wom ... =125360100

What makes this incident stand out (to me) is how bus surveillance videos are beyond debate.
She was UNARMED, HARMLESS, SILENT, ambushed+executed without provocation.

[Certainly Decarlos Brown will receive due process.] That’s not in question.

(This ABC video does not show the weapon or graphics others do.)

A young woman going home from work at a pizza place.

About 2 years ago, my cousin’s daughter took a bus home from a fast food job, run over by a car, died on the street.
No ticket issued, the driver drove home in the same car, returned to her work. Nothing. No video. i question distracted driving. no details at all about the driver, her actions, intent, nothing.

Ordinary people FEAR for their loved ones.

Ordinary everyday people working unglamorous thankless low wage jobs, lives ended like hitting a mosquito.
A stray dog receives more interest.

This incident reminds of Canada’s WILL BAKER case, when a (schizophrenic off meds) beheaded a young man sleeping next to him on a bus. i see no difference in this light rail case in NC.

.. prayers for loved ones.

Last night, the Polish military shot down eight Russian drones in Polish airspace. Looks like an escalation.

It doesn’t appear that Trump’s meeting with Putin has led to anything concrete. Putin is still unwilling to make any concessions and has increased drone strikes in Ukraine. On Sunday, Russia launched 800 missiles and drones against, the largest attack since the war began.

I doubt Putin wants NATO involvement, although it’s pretty far for a navigational error, it’s possible Belarus was involved in shooting them down which would lead me to believe this was a probe masked as a mistake.
