If numbers+stats are the interest (Jesus did not refer to them) - this FBI page below might be useful.
It’s misleading, Christians are uniquely broken into several separate groups, Catholic, Protestants, EO, and others, which distorts numbers. i don’t think of Mormons or JWs as Christian, some do, i think. (i added ??)

Of course, all numbers are REPORTED crimes. Lots of crime goes unreported.

FBI / 2019 HATE CRIME STATISTICS
https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2019/top ... d-offenses
Religious bias (Based on Table 1.)

Hate crimes motivated by religious bias accounted for 1,650 offenses reported by law enforcement. A breakdown of the bias motivation of religious-biased offenses showed:

60.3 percent were anti-Jewish.
13.3 percent were anti-Islamic (Muslim).
4.0 percent were anti-Catholic.
3.6 percent were anti-Other Christian.
3.0 percent were anti-Sikh.
2.8 percent were anti-Eastern Orthodox (Russian, Greek, Other).
2.5 percent were anti-multiple religions, group.
1.5 percent were anti-Protestant.
0.8 percent (14 offenses) were anti-Mormon. ?
0.4 percent (7 offenses) were anti-Hindu.
0.4 percent (7 offenses) were anti-Jehovah’s Witness. ?
0.4 percent (6 offenses) were anti-Atheism/Agnosticism/etc.
0.3 percent (5 offenses) were anti-Buddhist.
6.5 percent were anti-other (unspecified) religion.

Stats make no note of promotion of various sins in public ed and health, versus formal avoidance of promotion of faith.
That could be seen as a passive-aggressive form of violence toward religion. In the least, it’s not balanced. If measured, it would be huge.

Gov should back away from promoting sin. There is no religious or secular excuse for it. Prayers for this!

Whether the topic is marriage-divorce-remarriage, for-profit abortion, or homosexuals-trans+++, or other,
for Christians, the spirit of The Word is to be sought after, not the letter of human law.

So of these religiously-based hate crimes, three fourths were directed at Jews and Muslims with Jews getting 60% of the total despite totaling only a tiny 14.8 million worldwide. By contrast there are about 2.2 billion Christians and 1.9 billion Muslims in the world.

Christians of all types were less than 10% with Protestants getting only 1.5%.

Seems like we have much more of an anti-Semitism problem than an anti-Christian problem. We hear a lot about anti-Muslim bias, but it seems that anti-Semitism is the far larger problem. Some of which no doubt comes from Muslims.

That’s pretty much how i read it, and i’ve seen other reports with similar results.
Keep in mind, many Christian churches in the U.S. and Europe fully embrace secular western life, so, there is that.
Decades ago, my father wryly referred to them as “poor man’s country clubs,” i don’t believe he was far off.
Anabaptists aren’t included in stats.

According to the source you chose, there were 1,390 violent hate crimes against LGBTQ, 181 against Christians. And hate crimes against Christians account for 12% of religious hate crimes. Hate crimes against Jews and Muslims account for 75% of religious hate crimes.

Here's Table 1, looking at incidents:

https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2019/top ... able-1.xls

64 violent hate crimes against Catholics.
24 violent hate crimes against Protestants.
44 violent hate crimes against Orthodox.
49 violent hate crimes against "Other Christians".

Compare that to:

953 violent hate crimes against Jews
176 violent hate crimes against Muslims

Hate crimes against Jews and Muslims total account for all but 392 incidents. Hate crimes against all Christians account for 181 incidents, 211 religious hate crimes were directed towards other non-Christians who were not Jewish or Muslim. So when it comes to religious persecution, Christians account for only small amount of it, 181 out of 1,521 incidents.

Now let's look at LGBTQ:

1,195 violent hate crimes based on sexual orientation
198 violent hate crimes based on gender identity

So that's 1,390 violent hate crimes against LGBTQ, compared to 181 against Christians.

Self-identified Christians make up about 64% of the US population while LGBT people are only about 5% of the population. So if you do the math it turns out that LGBT-people are 105-times more likely to experience a hate crime than Christians. Not twice as likely. Not 10-times more likely. But 105-times more likely.

How many crimes committed in bars, etc., involving alcohol, drugs, crimes of passion, etc.?
Does it matter?

It seems that none of the resident liberals want to respond to this. The narrative of, "No one is trying to indoctrinate your children to be trans, you're crazy" is rapidly crumbling.

The next narrative employed will have to be something along the lines of, "It's right to offer 3 year olds puberty blockers without their parents knowledge, if you don't support that you're a hateful bigot who should be institutionalized"

I can see SZD going for that, although maybe not publicly, but I can't imagine Ken actually having the stomach for that.

Most crime (other than white collar crime) involves drugs or substance abuse of some sort. Not just hate crimes but most crimes. They are either conducted by people who are drunk or on drugs, involve crimes over drugs (dealing), or are crimes by druggies to get money for drugs.

And no I don't think it matters. Drugs and alcohol doesn't really change who someone is, it reveals who they are when the inhibitions and filters drop. People don't become racist or violent just because they get drunk. They are already racist and violent and getting drunk just lowers their inhibitions and reveals who they really are.

All these statistics show is that hate crimes still account for a very small percentage of violent crime in the US. There is also the confounding factor that LGBT individuals are much more motivated to have any crime against them classified as a hate crime than heterosexuals, sometimes so motivated as to completely stage a crime against themselves...

Ken, care to comment on the American Girls book? I took my girls (one of whom is pre-pubescent) to an American Girls store this year, do you think that was a good idea? should let them read that book?

Many vote for these policies, there’s no denying it, altho they do a good job of, 1) convincing themselves they don’t vote for it, and/or, 2) that it’s somehow justified. One horror after another, over decades. No end on the horizon.

i’m referring to the many various sin-promoting policies, not just this recent horror.

There’s no mystery about what’s happening. The mystery is why it’s STILL happening.
Old habits die hard.
