It’s just nice hearing Trump getting recognized for his tireless efforts after years of TDS among our own. Plus it was nice hearing him point out the good in so many other people like he did. To hear Pakistan leaders words to him today probably meant more to him than that prize- seeing hostages returned home finally meant much more.

He’s got to be one of the most unusual people in my lifetime. The most unusual?-maybe.
i was as shocked as any when he was elected in 2016, bracing for N.Korea to strike (probably the West Coast).
Not AS surprised in 2024, UNTIL after the election, but very surprised at his extraordinary vigor this term.

My present hope is, the majority positive response to this Israel-Hamas-Middle East (phenom) will help U.S. citizens realize how good we have it, and let the hate go. Even the gangsters and drug addicts.

What others go through, not just the Middle East. Ukraine. Nigeria’s Christians.

i wish Trump was 50 years old. i worry about him everyday. He pushes himself so hard.

Will history record this period starting in 2016 as an inexplicable U.S. “black hole of hate”? Hate won’t win! It can’t.
It’s seductive, tho. It can cause miserry.

Trump has extraordinary ease in the Middle East. i find it uncanny.
To me, it reflects there is more to him than meets the eye.

In my experience, most just don’t want to think about the ME. It’s so different. Language, culture, religion.
Obviously, Trump has thought a lot about it. Enough to make an impact. With formality AND humor.

That’s tough.

Did they actually greet him with a light show of his silly YMCA dance?
Evidently, in different ways, in different places, he’s been greeted with that particular music/dance.
International military bands have played it.

That’s very unusual. A gesture of welcome+warmth. And respect.

From my view ..
This is Trump’s first year of four. Not over yet.

My hope is, going forward, we in the U.S. will find better ways to deal with each other.

The CBS interview with hillary and condi, could mark a significant change.
Bottom, P.65 / https://forum.mennonet.com/viewtopic.ph ... &start=640

Since then, i’ve noticed other “very dug in” pundits+politicians loosen up.

i hope. 3+years to go.

As a Christian, I find it concerning when any politician or leader is described as having supernatural or mystical powers by his supporters. This is one way devotion evolves into charismatic myth-making. There's only one Savior in Christianity.

Has this actually been going on in any meaningful way? There are always kooks at the fringes who say and believe strange things, but overall, I don't think Christians and Americans in general have been attributing supernatural powers to Trump.
