Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
I remember there was a point in time that anyone could walk into the Clay Book Store and but a copy of the Weaverland Conference Directory. Not sure if that is still available to the open public or not.

It took me 10 seconds on google to find the street view of the churchAurien wrote:Someone who's a former Mennonite and part of the Justice for Sasha Krause group shared the directory. How in the world did local media get their hands on a church directory?
The "inside job" theory existed since day one. Never heard of names being posted on facebook, though. After all the aerial photos... videos of the houses, church, etc... including ‘real life’ photos views of the overall compound shared over the last 6 weeks- I sincerely never thought that the black and white map that the church provides was anything questionable. It is what it is. It was truly meant to be helpful- not hurtful... trying to sort through the barrage of names and places has been crazy these past 6 weeks... I thought using the church’s own info was the most accurate. Live and learn.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
It is unfortunate how much suspicion and rumor-mongering has gone on concerning the possibility that this was done by someone close to Sasha or someone in her church. I hope all those who were involved in that feel the shame of what they have done.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
I’m told around 2004 or prior that his family was Mennonite at my brother in laws church in N.C. Sounds like they may have moved to W.I. then.
Doesn’t sound like he ever joined the church.

I also heard that the local Mennonites were pretty sure that it was "the Mexicans" in the trailer park. I hope all those who were involved in that feel the shame of what they have done.mike wrote:It is unfortunate how much suspicion and rumor-mongering has gone on concerning the possibility that this was done by someone close to Sasha or someone in her church. Hopefully it is a good lesson for everyone as to why surmising and conjecture of any sort in cases like this is really just old fashioned gossip and should be treated like that.
And on top of that until he either pleads guilty or a jury finds him guilty he is not guilty under your laws. Also something to keep in mind.

That's the scuttlebutt on Facebook. That his family was part of Nationwide but his parents at least are now part of the Bethel Fellowship group.RZehr wrote:I’m told around 2004 or prior that his family was Mennonite at my brother in laws church in N.C. Sounds like they may have moved to W.I. then.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
This is the first time I've seen that items were taken from Sasha's body. I'm guessing the police were holding that bit of information back.

A warrant for Gooch's arrest was signed by a Flagstaff Justice Court judge on Friday, April 17, according to court documents.
Gooch has been accused of first-degree murder, kidnapping and theft in the Flagstaff Justice Court. Sheriff officials alleged the murder occurred between Jan. 18 and Jan. 19. Krause, 27, was first reported missing from the Lamp & Light community near the Farmington Mennonite Church on Jan. 18. Gooch was charged with theft for taking Krause's head covering and underwear, according to Flagstaff Justice Court documents.
