The CAM scandal links and assorted other topics thread

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

If you visit the Berlin office, they have a chart on the wall that shows the complete structure of CAM, all of the employees, and who answers to who. The last I saw this chart, there was a board at the top with an advisory council and a pastoral council. Underneath was a general director and an assistant director.

I know you're not asking me that question, but.... yes and no. Not in a vengeful way, but in a way that should rock the Anabaptist community enough to get the point across: you are not above the law and you can no longer hide behind your community, the Bible, or your religion.

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" I Peter 4:17

There is One Who sees beyond the dialogue of religion and the smoke screen of prestige, money and power. HE will not confuse the details or wink at the corruption, but judge justly & righteously! Does religion not tremble at that reality?

So... unless you walk into that office, there is no way to know who is in charge? Is there anything in their newsletter? This sounds like a privately owned/operated company to me.

I think there is a chart in their PA warehouse as well. Also the CAM annual report includes the names of the board of directors, the executive committee, the ministerial committee, the department managers and field directors.

You can ask them for an annual report and they will be glad to mail you one. It is a 25??? full page informational booklet.

No. I didn't say that. You asked if anybody knows, and since no one else volunteered any information, I gave you all the information that I knew and where to find it.

If that doesn't get you the info you want, you could ask them for a flow chart of who answers to who at the highest levels.

The annual report is also available online on their website. You can also find additional information through IRS filings that are online. The Weavers that were involved were some of the highest paid employees at CAM and CAM listed one as a VP and the other as an executive committee member. So no, we have not been talking about low level supervisors.

I guess what I am asking is, if I, or anyone else for that matter, would call CAM to get some solid answers, what would happen? Would I be transferred to the voicemail of someone that doesn't actually exist? (which is a common tactic) How would I know I am talking someone that has pull in the matter?

Others have reported on this board they have received answers by calling CAM. I have called CAM and received the voicemail treatment. After asking a few questions I was told someone else would need to answer, I was transferred to voicemail and never called back.

That's a common tactic used by big companies and small government offices. I suppose email wouldn't be any better?
