Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

You have to be male, baptized, and Catholic. (Any valid baptism is acceptable, i.e., in the name of the Trinity and so forth.)

Well, they kind of like them unmarried and celibate too.

It’s got less impact than a gnat's sneeze for us.
I take it you didn’t notice all the jokes :laugh
Wellllll in a faceless forum it's hard to tell when someone is trying to be funny or serious.

Now you got me wondering. How can the Catholic Church be important to you and whatever Anabaptist group you belong to?

i’m surprised Cardinal Sarah is a possibility. i don’t know of the others, i’ve favored C Sarah and C Burke.
i don’t think C Burke is well enough.

From the OP link:
Cardinal Robert Sarah
Sarah, 79, of Guinea, the retired head of the Vatican’s liturgy office, was long considered the best hope for an African pope.
Beloved by conservatives, Sarah would signal a return to the doctrinaire and liturgically minded papacies of John Paul II and Benedict.
Sarah, who had previously headed the Vatican’s charity office Cor Unum, clashed on several occasions with Pope Francis, none more seriously than when he and Pope Benedict co-authored a book advocating the “necessity” of continued celibacy for Latin Rite priests.
The book came out as Francis was weighing whether to allow married priests in the Amazon to address a priest shortage there.
i would be happy if C Sarah is Pope.

Sarah has good ideas interesting he being of african origin and opposes mass inmigration
i didn’t know that about mass immigration.
from what i could tell, Pope Francis had little patience with conservatives in the CC. (to put it mildly.)
C.Sarah has great “presence”. That combined with good messages could make for an interesting period in the CC.

I have acquaintances who are Catholic (including the guy who started "Catholic to the Max"); as a Plain Conservative, we like to stay on top of these things.

being nonresistant doesn’t mean being uninformed, passive, or naive.
(from my observation) being successfully nonresistant in a violent world requires being alert and informed. Matt 10:16
500 years in a violent world is impressive. correct if i’m mistaken.

Is there hope for improved relations with the Catholics?

I'm hopeful we are having such improved relations in this very thread.
