While I disagree with the attacks, one has to be honest with who these people are. They are evil.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

I agree the Iranian regime was evil but what are the chances the thing that grows in it's place will be better, it might be worse as in the case of ISIS replacing regimes the US took down.

Some are guessing, thinking they understand what's happening. The one who bet a few hours ahead of time had inside knowledge.Wesleyb wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:45 amWhat I wonder is why anyone would risk money betting in a system like this knowing it is rigged? The only way the corrupt guys keep making money is if suckers keep throwing it at them. It is voluntary unlike our taxes which they take by force and use for personal enrichment.JimFoxvog wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2026 11:03 pm I found this interesting:How is this legal?? Someone just made a fortune betting on the exact date the U.S. would bomb Iran, placing their wagers hours before the first missiles hit Tehran, on a platform where Donald Trump Jr. sits on the advisory board. . . .'

Some epic grudge-holdng right there. Not of Jesus Christ.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 5:41 pm They are still mourning the events of 680ad,
I have seen this up close and you can feel the weight of grief.
From wiki pedis:
Husain refused on moral grounds to pledge his allegiance to the Umayyad caliph Yazid ibn Mu'awiya (r. 680–683) and was subsequently killed, alongside most of his male relatives and his small retinue, by the Umayyad army in the Battle of Karbala on Ashura 61 AH (680 CE). Among Shia Muslims, mourning for Husayn is seen as an act of protest against oppression, a spiritual struggle for God, and a means of seeking Husayn’s intercession in the afterlife. Ashura is observed through mourning gatherings, processions, and dramatic reenactments. In such ceremonies, Shia mourners strike their chests to share in the pain of Husayn. Extreme self-flagellation, often involving self-inflicted bloodshed, remains controversial among the Shia, condemned by many Shia clerics, and outlawed in some Shia communities. Ashura has sometimes been an occasion for sectarian violence, particularly against the Shia minority

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

God have mercy for all who suffer. So much misery. So much suffering goes on unheard, unknown.
God hears every small cry. Many cries are very small.

Of course not. They are Muslims, after all.temporal1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 8:55 amSome epic grudge-holdng right there. Not of Jesus Christ.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 5:41 pm They are still mourning the events of 680ad,

Re: US Attacks Iran 2026
There is a fundamental difference as to how Sunni and Shia view government. Shia has a more formal and hierarchical clergy. They way the “Islamic republic “ is structured, the clergy has a formal role in leading the government. The only way the Sunni clergy (the Grand Mufti) would be through the issuance of a fatwa. Nowhere near as direct or effective.barnhart wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 10:13 pmJM, do you have any insight into how shia Islam might relate differently to a power vacuum than sunni. In previous instances when the US removed Sunni leaders a more extremist element grew up to fill the space.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 5:41 pm They are still mourning the events of 680ad, I have seen this up close and you can feel the weight of grief.

This leads me to think the potential for even more extremist factions gaining the upper hand in a coming civil war is a distinct possibility.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 9:43 amThere is a fundamental difference as to how Sunni and Shia view government. I agree. And I find it interesting that some women in this country are condemning Trump's attack on Iran and Iranian women are dancing and rejoicing in the street as the government collapsed.

Unfortunately, their rejoicing may be short lived.
