Sobering.
Questions about immunity, and, if not, the idea of worse symptoms in following infections, gives me a “royal” headache. :-|
The world might lose an awful lot of us annoying old people right-quick.

I really hope not temporal1, but yes, this is one of my concerns. It also concerns my parents as well.

Winston Churchill famously said: “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” I see the Trump Administration is taking this message to heart:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... -tax-cuts/
Trump administration officials are holding preliminary conversations about economic responses to the coronavirus, as the stock market fell sharply again on Friday amid international fears about the outbreak, according to five people with knowledge of the planning.

Among the options being considered are pursuing a targeted tax cut package, these people said. They have also discussed whether the White House should lean even harder on the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates, though the central bank on Friday afternoon said it would step in if necessary.
No decisions at the White House have been reached on these options, and officials stressed conversations remained preliminary and extremely fluid.

Vice President Pence’s office is involved in the discussion of possible responses, two people said.
Tax cuts????

Responding to a global pandemic with tax cuts must be the most Republican thing ever.

You think the economy shouldn't be their number one concern I take it?

Trump probably has millions of dollars in loans. Cut the interest rate, save money.

I think this thing is way over blown.

There is no wars or anything terrible going on to grab headlines. I think the fact that this is top news, is an indication of how well everything actually is going. That, and how scared/fascinated people are of disease and uncertainty.

I agree with Trump saying this thing will cycle out soon with the weather.

They aren’t trying to stimulate the economy. They are trying to stimulate the stock market. Not the same thing at all.

President Trump has spoken consistently about the Fed Reserve/interest rates, and tax cuts.

Funny, that is what I thought the liberal media is doing. Never fail to take up the opportunity to create a crisis that they can blame Trump for. Some are even saying the virus should be renamed to "Trumpvirus". Can you imagine the fit people would have had, if Fox News came out and suggested that Ebola should have been named "Obamavirus".
