I have to say it surprises me to hear you claim that the President has a drug problem. I thought you were supposed to be a flaming liberal! :?
Yes, I have typing problems, so I can identify. "Speech" was what I intended to type.

I've seen estimates between 100,000 and 200,000.
Just today, a Russian Mennonite friend told me its liberal Russians leaving
It’s a lot of younger, middle class Russians that are leaving. Some are leaving in opposition of the war, others are concerned they may be targeted by the increasingly repressive state.

Why are twice as many going to Russia from Ukraine? Who are they?

Considering that 4 million Ukrainians are refugees in other countries, that’s not a huge number. I don’t who they are — a lot of Ukrainians have Russian family members, so it might have something to do with that.

There are accusations that the Russians are forcibly deporting Ukrainians from Russian-controlled areas to Russia, but I’m waiting for those accusations to be verified.

OJ makes a good point. If you believe the Western media is lying about Russia, why would you watch CNN?

i was curious about the idea any were exiting to Russia.
the idea that near-twice are going rather than leaving makes it more puzzling.

if Russia is forcing, who? i suppose the most valuable to them would be healthy, able-bodied young men (same as Ukraine).
but, forcing would bring its own problems, which could result in worse problems. so. who knows? women, children, older folks must be protected and fed. they can work, but, enough to offset problems? i can’t quite imagine.

anyway, reports are some are going to Russia.
Many are going to Poland and Hungary. Honestly, i hope they enjoy mutual benefits wherever they land.

Well, I don’t think Biden is much aware of anything going on, considering he can’t keep straight which country he’s talking about.
I am regularly around people 80+ who are very sharp. Something is going wrong with Biden.
Being president is extremely stressful. When you compare the physical features of a man going into that position and then compare those features at the end of a presidency, they grow older more quickly than their contemporaries, due to the stresses of the job. Add the fact we have an almost 80 year old man to the equation, something going wrong with a president’s mental faculties is to be expected.

I watched Biden’s press conference yesterday on energy and at one point the camera panned to the teleprompter, which was huge. I had to wonder if Biden has a vision problem. And even with its large size he didn’t read it correctly when he said that families who upgraded their homes with energy saving features, would save $500 a month. The White House was quick to clean that wrong statement up; with saying it was $500 a year.
How do you think he comes across to world leaders?
He comes across as weak and weakness always fosters aggression. Considering Biden's incompetent exit from Afghanistan, and his obvious weak, addled inadequacy as President, is it any wonder Putin sees this time as a window of opportunity to carry out his war-filled goals to cut through Ukraine and then start devouring little pieces of other countries.

Putin has no fear of Biden and figured taking Ukraine would be easy, like it was under Obama/Biden when he took Syria in 2012 and Crimea and eastern Ukraine in 2014.

You have to wonder if Putin would have risked this war on Ukraine, if America had a big mouthed, unpredictable, aggressive, wide awake leader, as its President.

Curiosity would get me and then I would have to deal with what I think of all the before and after pictures being shown on any TV station outside of Russia. Perhaps for him, ignorance is bliss when the possibility of truth just doesn't match with his plans - 'sticking one's head in the sand'.

My guess, however, is he knows what destruction is going on, even to his own army, but he won't give up until he carves out a satisfactory section of the southern part along the Black Sea, perhaps leaving some access to the sea leaving them Odessa, for now.

I guess I better quit being an 'armchair quarterback' and trust that God sees it all and nothing will prevent Him from His plans for this world. More people are dying every day without knowing Jesus as their Saviour all over the world. And also in our neighbourhoods. And that death is of an eternal kind. Which kind of death should concern us most ? Me included.
