Sasha Krause: Missing

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
I don’t think they have a choice whether or not to press charges in a felonious criminal case like this. They can decide what to do in a civil case, that is whether to sue for damages/suffering or not.

It’s unknown what might help Sasha’s return.steve-in-kville wrote:Not sure where I read this (Facebook maybe?) but the family made a statement that they will not press charges if she is returned safely. Not sure how much water that holds, but there it is.
If this is what her family wants to share, i hope the message finds its way to help.
This case reminds of the Elizabeth Smart case.
She was gone, then returned. She had a hard time. She’s made a life for herself, i believe married with 3 children. What determination! She reaches out to different ones in difficult situations .. but, when she was gone, as with Sasha, nothing was known. Elizabeth was not far from home. But no one knew. Not knowing is hell.
Continuing prayers for Sasha, her family and loved ones, for those searching, and for any who might know or be involved. Please, God, hear our prayers ..

For those following this on facebook, be careful what you buy into. There's a few doozies being offered up as working theories as to what happened and where she is.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
The latest update from the Facebook page of the San Juan County Sheriff's Office.

A $50,000 reward is being offered to anyone willing to come forward with new information that leads to the recovery of Sasha Krause. The reward is to be paid out by a 3rd party, not family members and not the Sheriff’s Office directly. The reward will only be disbursed upon successful recovery of Sasha Krause. The reward is being held by the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office Foundation, which is a 501C3, nonprofit organization that supports the Sheriff’s Office volunteer programs. If you have information that may assist in the recovery or location of Sasha Krause, please call the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office Detective Hot Line at 505-333-7878.
At approximately 3am on January 19, 2020, San Juan County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Lamp & Light Publishers on Road 5577 in Farmington, NM in reference to a missing person. 27-year-old, Sasha Marie Krause was last seen leaving her residence on January 18, 2020 around 8pm and never returned. Sasha’s vehicle was located parked nearby a church in the area where she resides. Resources that Sasha would normally take with her, if she willingly left her residence, were left behind. The San Juan County Sheriff's Office considers her disappearance suspicious. Detectives with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office are actively searching for Sasha and working closely with her relatives and members of the Mennonite community. Detectives have obtained search warrants on cell phone records, bank statements, are continuing to interview potential witnesses and are using advanced, investigative technology and resources to locate Krause.
Please continue to follow the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office social media sites for accurate and updated information. We ask that this reward flyer be the only flyer shared that highlights a reward for the recovery of Sasha Krause. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Sounds like the family and the sheriff have reason to believe she's still alive at this point.

What do you base that on?steve-in-kville wrote:Sounds like the family and the sheriff have reason to believe she's still alive at this point.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
I do not think that them offering a reward is in and of itself saying that at all. I would suggest that this is simply a last ditch attempt to gain any possible information someone might have to help them solve the case. But I hope you are right and I am wrong.steve-in-kville wrote:The fact they're now offering a reward.appleman2006 wrote:What do you base that on?steve-in-kville wrote:Sounds like the family and the sheriff have reason to believe she's still alive at this point.

Good point.
I have to admit that I've been following this on social media as well. Perhaps my opinion is tainted a little.

They use the word "recovery" a couple times.....
If she was truly abducted by nefarious individuals, she is most likely in the loving arms of Jesus. There is a reason Elizabeth Smart, Jaycee Dugard and Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight and Amanda Berry are household names....
