There are many testimonies of women who gratefully changed their minds to choose life, and many testimonies of adults who knew they were planned to be aborted, but whose mothers had changed hearts before it was too late. Some are from high-achievers or leaders in their lives. There is a lot of gratitude for extensive effort prolife folks (often volunteer). i used to follow a few pro-life sites, like Save the Storks, Take my hand, not my life, etc. Lots of volunteered testimonies found in Comments. Compelling reason to volunteer help to women and their babies.HondurasKeiser wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:33 amThat's an unanswerable question. It's also rhetorical because you assume the obvious answer is no in order to shut down Temp's (and those like her) line of argument. In reality though one cannot say with any certainty what has or hasn't changed people's hearts and minds. What's more, your question assumes that "hearts and minds" are the only relevant field of engagement. In point of fact, legislating against abortion may or may not "change hearts and minds" but it nevertheless may save quite a few children that would otherwise have been aborted.
If it were possible, it would be interesting to ask those 'almost aborted', when they're adults, if they cared how their mother "felt in her heart" about the abortion issue when they were still a fetus.
Some reports are from adults who survived abortion attempts - including saline abortions!
They are physically scarred, but grateful for their lives.
It’s amazing how the sight of a simple sonogram, no words required, can change a mind. Life!
All true, altho this is a bunny trail from the OP.
When i posted above, it was mostly about noting the first MFL following the overturn of RvW. (i don’t mind the b.t., i won’t complain to mods or OP.)
i first began noticing MFL on MD when Wayne was asking about others who might be attending. His young daughter, Franzi, was going.
i’ve continued to learn with interest - mostly about how these well attended peaceful marches have gone on annually, for decades, without msm fanfare! impressive. altho, i’m not one to join rallies or join organized blocs. i appreciate others follow their beliefs.
in the case of prolife interests, it requires many unorganized voices speaking and acting in many ways for the same godly outcome.
i prefer these to be family and church matters, not political.
