I don't know anything about you or your family history. But if your family was white and lived in this country for more than one generation then they lived in a society in which advantages were tilted towards whites and away from blacks. Whether they made advantage of those benefits and were able to pass them on down to their children and grandchildren is an entirely different issue. There are millions of white families in poverty, and white children who have grown up with no advantages. That is utterly true. It is also true that their parents and grandparents and great grandparents grew up in a society in which they had opportunities that were not available to black people. Many white families were able to accumulate generational wealth through building businesses and farms and human capital like education, and pass it own down to subsequent generations. Opportunities that were denied to black people at that same time. But this is also a free society and people are free to fail, or be cheated, or suffer bad luck, or piss away whatever is given to them. Life is not fair. Never has been and never will be.
I know my parents and grandparents and great grandparents worked hard for every single penny they ever earned in rural Oregon and rural Pennsylvania where they are from. They were simple people. None of them were rich. They lived hard modest lives trying to keep their farms alive and and their children fed. I also know they would have had a lot harder time of it had they been black. In fact, they almost certainly would never have been allowed to be farmers in rural Oregon or PA in the first place.
God spoke to me this morning. I was in a very dark place. He brought me this. This will be my only response to this line of discussion. He says it much better than I can.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.
Folks I had never heard of this man before a few days ago. But since then I have listened to a number of his talks. While he makes no apologies whatsoever for his beliefs he speaks with a sense of respect and gives much more grace to those that disagree with him than what is given him. That in itself is very telling.
When a guy like him with his background makes a statement that he believes beyond a shadow of a doubt that systemic racist does not presently exist to any large extent in the USA, it is good enough for me. And he apparently has been consistently teaching that for almost 15 years. He predicted that racial unrest would increase if Obama was elected. Boy did he get that one right.
Some of you will dismiss him because he is speaking the viewpoint of a minority but I urge you to do the very thing you ask the rest of us to do. Listen to him as well. He is not the only one with this message. Not by a long shot.
It takes very little bravery to protest in the street and speak a message that is more or less advocated by most of the left today. What this man is doing takes a tremendous amount of courage and I think speaks to the degree that he cares for mankind in general.
So if this young woman has a crime committed against her, such as being assaulted or raped, would she not call the police? And beings there would be no criminal justice system, her attacker should be allowed to be fee and put more women in harms way?
I cannot wrap my brain around the utter lack fore thought and intellectual ineptness shown in the video. I can't imagine the destruction, rioting and looting that would occur were the outside evil capitalists stop supplying them with amenities, such as food, water, portapotties, cell phone service, etc.
I of course have no idea if that guy at the end is really who he claimed to be but if he is actually one of the original members of the Seattle Black Panthers and he thinks this is going too far, I think that tells you something.
Seriously folks. After watching this and other stuff, saying that Fox news was over the top in what they reported simply does not strike me as true. This does not strike me as an innocent silly little party. This is anarchy at it's worst. And I am afraid it will not end well.
Joshua Good here is a link to a talk I think you should watch if you have not already. It does give a hint of some of the stuff that is behind a lot of what is going on. Another great book on the topic is "Hillbilly Elegy" if you have not already read it.
