My guess is that's incredibly unlikely. Not only has Jr typically expressed disdain for road courses, he has never competed at Indycar level. However, you might find him at a Nascar event as he plans to run a partial schedule in 2026.
Dale Jr is retired for 9 years now. He does broadcasting and owns a team. I wondered if he would be there to do comment broadcasting and photo ops.
He did retire from full time racing after the 2017 season. However, he has continued to race part time every year since.
Jr works in the booth for Prime and TNT showcasing some of the NASCAR races. Fox will be covering all the Indycar races.
That’s right. If you go back and read what I said though I never asked about him entering the race. SMH.
Since this is a special one-off event, I’m hoping he’ll be a commentator. It will give the DC event a familiar voice.
Richard Petty is 88 but I think he should also be invited to the box.

Nor did I say you did. It wasn't clear what you meant but I assumed you meant some capacity other than racing. I'm just pointing out that he's never had much if anything to do with Indycar, and seeing his employer will not be covering the race, he's unlikely to be there. There is a Nascar race scheduled the same day but Prime isn't broadcasting that race either so I guess there's a chance you get your wish.
