I appreciate your compassion.
What do you think should have been done about the Iranian regime? They were slaughtering their own people. Do you have the same compassion for those living under an evil regime that slaughters its own people, and is determined to destroy Israel and America?
Valerie, I think people who share certain experiences often arrive at similar understandings about some things. Women who have given birth. People who have gone through cancer and rounds of chemo. People who have seen the effects of war close up. People who have lived near real persecution.

I don't really know what experiences you have had. But I have seen the effects of war. I lived in East Berlin and knew many people who had lived through World War II and persecution in East Germany. In my work I also know people who have been jailed for their beliefs, threatened for their faith, or who have experienced war and famine.

I know others here on MennoNet who have had similar exposure to these realities. We've seen how these things turn out too many times: Afghanistan. Iraq. Vietnam. The wars in the former Yugoslavia. The Syrian civil war. Sudan. Yemen. In each case, the people who live there carry the cost for generations.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

I understand. My family members were in Korean & Iraq wars. My husbands as well & in Vietnam.

He did not answer my question. When you have a country that Val’s death on America and death to Israel, what do you suggest Israel in America do about the fact that they were in the process of creating nuclear bombs just let it go as if it doesn’t matter?

Jesus said we would always have wars until He returns.
I’m not sure what you think. The commander-in-chief of a country is supposed to do when these kinds of threats are looming you have not answered that question. Not only that it’s been known quite a while by other presidents that something needed to be done as well. this was not Trump‘s original idea.

Valerie, do think the actions of the US in Iran since 1950 have made you safer or more vulnerable?
