Is anyone familiar with organization called Anabaptist Book Ministry? Books from this organization have been randomly showing up at my relative’s homes. Nobody has any idea how their name was placed on the mailing list.
The most recent book was “I Appeal To Scripture The Life and Writings of Michael Sattler by Andrew V. Ste. Marie. The book is a 4th edition with 76,000 copies printed.
Have you had similar books show up at your house?

I haven't, but I visited someone earlier this week who got copies of the same book sent to them.
I can't remember the names of the people behind it, but it's a crowd that is trying to promote wholesome Anabaptist literature and encouraging people to learn more about the roots of the Anabaptist movement.

I have had some random books show up. I hadn’t noticed who sent them, but I got home tonight from a trip, and when I got the mail, there was the same book in my mailbox:
I Appeal To Scripture.

We have received quite a few of these, at my wife's parents' house (they are both deceased, but we are repairing & remodeling the house for our future residence).
In addition to the book you mentioned (which I have started reading):
How to Appreciate the Church - Stanley Baer
The Secret of the Strength - Peter Hoover
[Well, I was going to list them all, but maybe I didn't keep the others.]

Based on information so far:
- Don't be JohnH
- Don't be Ernie
- Do be deceased
- Do be a Wenger who has lived at the same address for a long time and has a business registered at this address
- Do be RZehr
I suspect they are using old directories that have lists of Wengers, Beachys, etc. that used to (or still do) circulate.

I’ve been at my address for about 6.5 years. So whatever database they are using can’t be older than about 6 years.

Mom has gotten them. She is certainly not wenger or beachey.
She buys a lot of tracts for distribution, so its probably some sales data base.

That is the big mystery, to answer this, "their" has to be defined. Currently it remains ambiguous who exactly is behind this. All I know for sure is that it is a group of Anabaptist sending out books. Interestingly, there was not even a note of explanation with the books. The inside copyright page includes the words "Anabaptist Book Ministry" but doesn't give further explanation.

I considered the possibility of a directory, but that doesn't fully explain it since one came in my SIL name.
Where did the information about being a Wenger come in? Couldn't be further from the truth with regards to my family.

I considered something along that line. Interestingly it came in my grandma and sister-in-law's names.

I'll have to check on that.
