People don't need to be condemned; they already are.
Sinners don't need to be brought down; they're already on the ground. But Christ descends into the mire so that those who could never rise on their own might be lifted to heaven.
We don't extend our hand first; He extended it first, and finally, with eternal love, He raises us to the heights of the angels.
Prostitutes are now evangelists.
Thieves are now apostles.
Blasphemers are now preachers.
This is the power of the Gospel: It conquers our hearts and, in doing so, sanctifies our bodies.
Blessed is He who was incarnate.
Blessed is He who died.
Blessed is He who rose again.
And blessed is He who, when He ascended, raised us with Him to the Father, no longer as sinners, but as saints redeemed in His glory. Blood
Through His blood, through His cross, through His grace we are what we are. To Him be all honor and glory, now and forever.
