We have a lot of seekers and ones we have met going out into the highways and hedges here in Hickory NC. We would like to have a library in our new meeting house. I would like some input, what are some of your favorite books that could be a blessing to new believers?
Some of the titles we have ordered are Jesus really said that? Only a servant, The kingdom that turned the world upside down. In the flame of Russias revolution. What Jesus refused to do. maybe some child training and forgiveness books you could recommend.

Some good books on Anabaptist/Kingdom Christian History, Doctrine, and Practice I recommend are: The Theology of Anabaptism by Robert Friedman; Doctrines of the Bible by Daniel Kauffman; Practical Pointers for Training Your Child by Lloy A. Kniss; Putting Off Anger by John Coblentz; The Kingdom That Turned The World Upside Down by David Bercot; Separated Unto God by John C. Wenger; The Anabaptist Vision by Harold S. Bender; The Secret of the Strength by Peter Hoover; Fire in the Zurich Hills by Joseph Stoll; One Anothering by Simon Schrock; The Upward Call by John Coblentz; 20 Most Asked Questions About the Amish and Mennonites by Merle and Phyllis Good; A Change of Allegiance by Dean Taylor; The Anabaptist Story by William Estep; Glimpses of Mennonite History and Doctrine by John C. Wenger; A Heart for God by John Coblentz; Dying to Live With Christ by Merle Ruth; Integrity by Jon Kropf; Magnify the Lord by Matt Drayer; Menno Simons' Life and Writings by Harold S. Bender and John Horsch; Kingdom-Focused Finances by Gary Miller; Christian Family Living by John Coblentz; An Introduction into Old Order and Conservative Mennonite Groups by Stephen Scott; Principles for the Gathering of Believers under the Headship of Jesus Christ by Gospel Fellowships/Greg Gordon; Cathedrals, Castles, & Caves by Marcus A. Yoder; Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage by John Coblentz; Surviving the Tech Tsunami by Gary Miller; Christian and Plain by William McGrath; Getting Along With People God's Way by John Coblentz; Cup and Cross by Michael S. Martin; Martyrs Mirror by Thieleman van Braght.
You should also have some good storybooks: They tell of life how it is. Books by Pablo Yoder, Harvey Yoder, Romaine Stauffer, Christmas Carol Kauffman, Lily Bear, Lester Bauman, Diane Yoder Byler, Loreen Plett Zehr, and Rachael Lofgren are a good start.
And it's also nice to have children's books in a library too. Christian Light, CAM Books, and Pathway Publishers all have good children's books to choose from.

If you think that your church will at all attract Christian's from other traditions, have some copies of "Life After Church" by Brian Sanders available.
Also, "The Freedom of Self Forgetfulness" by Timothy Keller in any case.

The Bible is very easy to understand. But we Christians are a bunch of scheming swindlers. We pretend to be unable to understand it because we know very well that the minute we understand we are obliged to act accordingly.
