– In 1900, there wasn't a single mosque in the United States; today, there are nearly 3,000 mosques.
– In 1900, there wasn't a single mandir (Hindu temple) in the United States; today, there are nearly 1,000.
– In 1900, there wasn't a single abortion clinic in the United States; today, there are nearly 800.
– Meanwhile, according to a 2019 study by Lifeway Research (remember, this was before Covid), church closures are outpacing openings, with a net loss of 1,500 churches per year.
In these last 100 years, we have legalized no-fault divorce, legalized pornography, institutionalized sodomy, enshrined abortion, and waged constant unjust wars abroad to "enforce" a terrible dispensationalist eschatology, while boasting of our military might and wealth, forgetting that these are the fruits, not the source, of our greatness.
America is great because it was a Christian nation (despite its flaws); it will cease to be so when it ceases to be a Christian nation. And today, unlike 100 years ago, morally, politically, and spiritually, we are ceasing to be Christians.
The struggle is not between left and right, Democrats versus Republicans, liberals versus conservatives. The struggle is between Christ and the Antichrist, the Church of God versus the work of Satan. In essence, the struggle is not political, it is spiritual (see Ephesians 6:12-17).
May God have mercy on this nation and raise up a godly generation of Spirit-filled men and women, bold and courageous, willing to reconquer this land for Christ the King and his eternal kingdom.

I would venture that a mosque probably has teachings closer to biblical truth than an Episcopalian church.
Just saying.

i appreciate the spirit of your OP, esp these words. True no matter time or location. i think it’s healthy to care about one’s countrymen, and countrymen of other countries. i want healthy neighbors! - domestic and foreign... The struggle is between Christ and the Antichrist, the Church of God versus the work of Satan.
In essence, the struggle is not political, it is spiritual (see Ephesians 6:12-17).
The U.S. has taken a partcular turn away from God, the price is high. Separation of church from state was never meant to be rule by atheism. It went too far in that direction.
(i believe) most men everywhere have a sense of God, even if not studied in scriptures, even if not introduced to Jesus Christ.
(i believe) all are God-breathed and created, no matter circumstances.
i don’t believe in atheists.
i believe in those who have not yet walked far enough. keep walking, you’ll run into Him.
i believe in 2 Kingdoms. i don’t believe those who are ignorant are godless. i don’t believe ignorance of Truth is rejection of Truth.
“bidden or not bidden, God is present”
i’m noticing reports now+then about (esp young men) returning to regular church service. i hope it’s true.
Their leadership is particularly needed. Young men need to know how important they are.
Honestly, when i think of how so many young men are in prison, i wonder,
“Why are you there? Don’t you realize how important you are? How much you’re needed?”
If i find those reports again, i’ll add here.

I realize Mennonites look at these things differently than other Christian’s denominations so he’s probably on the wrong forum for this to be raised.

Before they jump on you, the phrase was added in the 1950’s (not by Mennonites). https://www.history.com/articles/pledge ... od-schools
i appreciate the spirit of the OP, there’s a lot to work on there. a lot to pray about.
it’s esp painful when scriptures are hijacked by atheists to deceive. evil has no shame.
(i think) the founders were wise to not create a nation as Catholic, Christian, Quaker, or other, but neither was the intent to be God-less. It was a busy time (understatement) they were under pressure, i don’t believe they were thinking of Muslims, Hindus, or, frankly, Native American religious beliefs as they wrote. Their work is still remarkable, not completely comprehensive.
Humanists+atheists are out for their own interests. Christians can be easy targets.
Seek the spirit, not the letter.

Jefferson wrote about the likelihood that a Jew or a "Mohammadian" would one day be elected as president.
